Did you see on You Tube the clip where Alice gets a pie in the face performing Black Juju? - That's just wrong! But I love his reaction!

No. He just fell back and paused for a few seconds, perfectly still, like a statue, before leaping up and screaming out the rest of the song. That's our Alice - always the consummate performer. Heh, if it was Sebastian Bach, I believe there would have been police intervention before the end of the night.

For anyone interested who has not seen it before, (like myself until just now) here is a clip of Alice in 1982, at his worst in terms of alcohol addiction. He looks awfully ill, and after 2 more years, he was hours from death.
Despite that, he wrote some damn good stuff during 1980-1984, even though he was in such an alcoholic daze he claims not to even remember writing, recording or touring the 4 albums from that period, as this video shows.

Only seen Alice....play the once
And the show was amazing...
Was at Edinburgh Playhouse as well,which is rare becoz they have the big musicals etc playing most of the time at the Playhouse now!
Dio was on the bill as well!Magica had just came out....was a great show from both men!  |

I think I'd pass out from sheer overload of enjoyment at a show like that! Especially if Alice resurrected the hanging scene....

Well if that's the case, I am even more outraged - that could have hurt!! The way it splattered made it look like a pie. Whatever. It's sacrilige!!

Well I don't know about that. He was really into 'guns and ammo' at the time, hence the look. That first song is great though, the second being a cover of a Love track. I wouldn't say he was an embarrassment - good music, still touring, just at a real low in his life.
