i like Jethro Tull and i love the way Ian Andersen plays the flute.i tried to search guitar tabs for their acoustic stuff but haven't practiced much on them.
and guess what i found out!! there's Dio singing Jethro Tull's song " Aqualung"in 1971 with Elves. but there's no live stuff or a video there's just Dio pictures slide show,so don't think that you'll see Dio in Elves you will just hear him. here's the link:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tYx6JJutH04

I have to admit I like Aqualung too, but not enough to put up with Ian Anderson and his f*****ng flute.

the flute burns by poor ears, apart from the fact that Ian Anderson needs a kick up the balls for that flute they're very good.

What is the hate for the flute?! I love it Very Happy And they are a great live band - lots of banter with the audience so it feels like a special intimate show. Long set too. I don't have many CDs though - just Aqualung and Minstrel in the Gallery, and a DVD Living With The Past.

Oh and the flute is the defining sound of Jethro Tull - as soon as you hear it you know who it is. Wouldn't be the same without it.

You have to hear their first 4 albums to know what they are about.
They are jazz/rock fusion, hence the flute, baroque guitars and other things that make them so special.
Great musicians and great band.
Saw them 4 times in concert I believe - "A" is a very good and far underrated album, with Eddie Jobson from UK - awesome!!!
