I like both bands within their own right. I chose Sabbath because I know Iommi and Dio write well together. I am not sure of the Dio/Harris combo since they have never written anything together. It isn't simply Ronnie singing Maiden songs but how would they as a unit mesh in the writing ability. _________________ Smacks & Manly Thumps,

sabbath, i like the dio/iommi combo great lyrics with power guitar riffs, i dont know how he would be in maiden, harris is the main songwriter so that may get in the way _________________ they'll take your diamonds and give you steel youll be caught in the middle of the madness lost like them and part of all the pain that they feel AND ALL THE FOOLS SAILED AWAY- Ronnie James Dio |

When Blaze was in Maiden, I wouldn't have minded if he left and Ronnie replaced him. That would have been great, hearing Dio sing The Sign of the Cross! That song is Maiden, but with such a Sabbath groove to it. He'd sound great doing alot of Maiden material, now that I think about it. He's one of the few great rock vocalists of the era that could pull it off.
Maiden would never hire an American, though. That's key to their tight-knit cohesion, they all are buddies off stage and have things in common. I think Steve thinks a cultural gap would ruin that vibe. |

I answered Sabbath because The Dio Sabbath albums are so great and I also thought Ronnie just wouldn't work in Maiden. But, after The Nomad's post about SOTC, I admit it would be interesting to hear Ronnie do some different existing Maiden tunes. _________________ And all the lighthouses, their beams converge, to guide me home

Hey, I didn't know there was a contest! Flagg is a character that Stephen King uses to represent Satan.
Anyway, were you able to see or are you planning to see any of Ronnie's current shows in eastern Europe? _________________ And all the lighthouses, their beams converge, to guide me home

I saw one about a year ago in Moscow. And I don't think I'll be able to see another one in the nearest two years, cause I'm in army now:) _________________ Sorry for my Russian English |

Well maybe when you get out Ronnie will be on tour and you can see him again. It's always good to meet a new Dio fan. Welcome to the board. _________________ And all the lighthouses, their beams converge, to guide me home
