Hello everyone!
I'm a vocalist that is doing a solo project and writing, playing all the instruments in my recordings that I do here in my home in FL. USA. My websit is...
audiostreet.net/emilioviero
If anyone can give a review of my song or songs I would really appreciate it.
And if ANYONE can answer this question I could really use the input,
The question is: Why are Tenor voices not excepted in todays music?
Ronnie your the best!

No problem..Had a listen to the tracks,
I like them...do you play all of the instruments on the tracks?
You should hang out in this section,we have a Dio Forum band and there is some great musicians out there who are members.
This was the Dio Forum's band first ever song they wrote together.

Thank You Holymagica!!!
Yes I play everything on all the tracks, bass, guitars, keyboards, trumpets, vocals. For the drums I started with using drum machines to using live drum loops in my latest song.
Checked out the forum band..Sounds cool! I like it.
Rock On!!!
Hey alitivity,
Thanks for taking time out for a listen to my songs.
OK... the Tenor situation: For the last eight years or so there has been NO interest in musicians wanting to work with a tenor voice.
It seems that nowadays you need to be a Baritone or a screamer.
I have a song on Garage Band dot com and I'm getting thrown to the wolves because I'm a tenor singer. Very depressing!
Talk to you soon and Thanks! |

I think you are on the right track by looking for other outlets for your music. Not everyone is into the same thing, but you can be sure that there are people out there who enjoy the tenor voice, and musicians who will want to play write and record with you. You just need to be diligent, and look in places where they may be, Like here. Obviously we all like the tenor voice here, we are Dio fans I myself am a tenor, and although I do excede the limits of a tenor slightly on both sides of the spectrum, my primary voice is in the Tenor range. I present my music to people who like the sound of that range. I am not trying to impress people who are not fans of it. If that makes sense.
Glad to have you here.

I know what you mean I'll get a hand full of licks stuck in my head and can only seem to play the same crap over and over for a long time then at some point it breaks loose and I'm free again to play lots of stuff It's odd as hell and most guys i know have the same problem so i think it's pretty normal. _________________ GUITARGOD |

The majority of hard rock singers have always been and will always be tenors.
Not sure where you're getting your information.

For anyone who is interested, My old Guitar player from the Band Blind Robins, has put up 5 of the songs we recorded back in 1992 up on his myspace page. He is also one of the best luthiers in the midwest. The tuned down cover of I am the Walrus is one of the songs. Hope you like it, if you decide to check them out that is.
