According to a posting on KISS’ official web site, the group’s guitarist/vocalist Paul Stanley confirmed last night (January 28 ) that KISS will tour Europe this May and June. They will play arena and stadium shows.
Swedish newspaper Dagens Nyheter reported last month that KISS is strongly rumored to be planning a headlining concert May 30 at Stockholm Stadion, an outdoor 30,000-seater arena. Although Swedish promoter EMA Telstar has reportedly reserved the date as an option for KISS to play at the Stadion, the show has **NOT** been confirmed as yet, however, and should be treated as a rumor only.
As previously reported, KISS will play Wellington’s Westpac Stadium in New Zealand in March as part of a giant two-day rock festival.
Currently confirmed KISS shows:
March 16 - Melbourne, Australia - Ing F1 Grand Prix
March 18 - Brisbane, Australia - Entertainment Center
March 20 - Sydney, Australia - Acer Arena
March 22 - Wellington, New Zealand - ROCK2WTGN Festival
Paul Stanley was forced to pull out of the band’s July 27, 2007 show in San Jacinto, California, about 90 miles (145 km) east of Los Angeles when his heart started beating at more than twice the normal level.
Stanley wrote on his web site that he was advised performing would be risky, and the show went on without him. Fellow principal Gene Simmons told fans the group would play as a trio, and turned the show into a tribute to his ailing bandmate.
Former KISS members Peter Criss and Bruce Kulick will be interviewed over the phone for this Thursday’s (January 31) edition of the "world-famous" "Kiss This" special, which is scheduled to air at 8:00 p.m. PST / 11:00 p.m. EST.

CW11 recently conducted an interview with KISS guitarist/vocalist Paul Stanley. Watch the footage at this location: http://weblogs.cw11.com/news/local/morningnews/blogs/2008/01/paul_stanley_live.html
Paul Stanley just completed a highly successful 2007, garnering over $2 million in sales for his art work distributed through Wentworth Galleries. _________________ Video games are bad for you? That what they said about Rock 'n' Roll... |

Kiss has always been a great show, and now that they are getting older, you just never know if they will have another tour. So you have to see them when you get the chance. _________________ Check out Al Diamond Phillips/Nevermet on the web

Kiss performed in Greece last night.
Their crowd was about 6,000!!
I don't know what that number shows, maybe that people got bored of this statement "This will be our last tour".
And don't think that people in Greece don't like Rock. Last year Scorpions and Whitesnake had 35,000 people in a full football stadium
Anyway their setlist was:
Deuce
Strutter
Got To Choose
Hotter Than Hell
Nothin' To Lose
C'Mon And Love Me
Parasite
She
Guitar Solo
100,000 Years
Drum Solo
Cold Gin
Let Me Go Rock 'n Roll
Black Diamond
Rock And Roll All Nite
--------------------
Shout It Out Loud
Lick It Up
God of Thunder
I Was Made For Lovin' You
Love Gun

And the only really good song was "Strutter"... missing the best songs like "Turn On The Night", "Crazy Crazy Nights", "God Gave Rock & Roll To You" etc.
Didn't even play anything off of their newest album Psycho Sircus ("Raise Your Glasses") would've been my choice from that one.
AND after watching that picture u posted I'll have to add that PS is a good songwriter but (ironically) sukks when singing the best songs (see CCN live).

Doc McGhee confirms that the hunt for a new Gene and Paul is on!
Kiss's longtime manager Doc McGhee has confirmed that the band are going to recruit four new members through the medium of reality TV.
It appears that wannabe rock stars will be put through an American Idol style workout before being put before a public vote with the prize being that you become a member of Kiss.
McGhee said "I believe that Kiss can go on forever. I believe that there is a way - and we are talking to people and we're pretty close to getting it done - about finding the four new members of Kiss."

Pffff... Paul & Gene should just reunite and record sum more stuff - even their newest one had one good song ("Raise Your Glasses") despite the whole album was average.
KISS got lot cool stuff, like em a lot... Just not the seventies stuff really no way... too "light" for me, and stupid reviewers hugely underrate the 80's/90's KISS stuff... which is really a BIG shame.

PAUL STANLEY SETS RECORD STRAIGHT
Amid the numerous reports stemming from an interview done in Norway, Paul Stanley has decided to set the record straight regarding a KISS clone reality TV show.
Statement from Paul:
A KISS clone reality show? First of all, contrary to what was said by anyone, there is no signed deal. Secondly, if we were to do a "KISS II", and I don't rule that out, it would be in addition to, and never in place of KISS. If we were to do it, I know it would be done in a ground breaking way and would be tremendously entertaining. KISS has always defined itself by the rules we break, so what's the big surprise? We are in the middle of our biggest and most successful tour of Europe ever, playing to over a half million people, and neither KISS or I have any plans to stop afterwards! _________________ Check out Al Diamond Phillips/Nevermet on the web

I think the new KISS album Sonic Boom is excellent,I would put it in the Top 5 or 6 of their albums,a lot better than Psycho Circus.
There is a song on the album called Yes I Know(Nobody's Perfect) which is typical Gene Simmons song. |
