Oh, they are up in my room, just on the other side. I have everything grouped in clusters. I have since replaced Born Again with Live Evil in that spot. Notice Rainbow on Stage off to the left there (and that arm there on the far left is the corner of my Dio poster). I have the majority of Dio, Ozzy, and Black Sabbath albums on display around my room. Other than that, I think I have some Stevie Ray Vaughan, Iron Maiden, Savatage, and a Testament album.

Just bought a used Carvin PB-500 bass head with 4x10 cabinet. I love it!!! It is ridiculously loud, and if I wanted it even louder I could add a 15" cabinet (or even 18"!)
I play Warmoth/WD basses that I build myself. I also recently bought a Squier Jass bass and Squier P-bass, both built in Korea which I really like a lot.

Four Guitars

1. My child, my pride and joy, Carol, my Gibson SG.

2. The Guitar I learned on, Karla, My Epiphone Les Paul

3. My Ovation, Diana.

4. My Classical Yamaha. (didn't name it)

I use Dean Markley Strings and D'Addrio Strings. (Might try Ernie Ball Strings, aint sure, I like Dean Markley, but.......ye know, Ernie Ball has the more trustworthy Six String Bass Strings which I want to use for the darker sounds)

Fender Amps, and Picks that keep turning up everywhere.

Okay, change. I sold Karla and Diana to the local guitar store for credit. I bought A Dean Bass, a case, and a Cry Baby Wah pedal.
Still have eighty dollars on credit there. ROCK AND ROLL, MAN!!!!!!!!
I also bought an awesome Breedlove Acoustic. Yeah, That's Diane.
Haven't named the bass yet.

...I sold My Peavy Adrian Vandenburg Signature...& I regret it...it was a "neck through body" setup...in other words...NOT a "bolt on"...the neck started to develope a hairline crack along the grain on the back, which became visible through the paint...so I had it sent to Peavy's manufacturer in Missouri USA...they sent me an entire new piece of wood, with my EMG's & Hardware Reinstalled...but get this...when they returned it to me, the new Guitar now had NO serial # on it?!...which made it kind of unique I would guess?...it had an ebony fretbord...mother of pearl inlays & a Kahler tremolo w/ lock nut...I originally paid 1,100$ for it back in 1991...I wonder what it would have went for now?...anyway...Rite now I play an ESP Strat...through a 100w Peavey stereo Combo w/celestions...sounds pretty good...but I'm looking at a Line 6 combo with all the effects & presets...ALOT of bang for the bucks with these guys... Wink

I've not tried the Line 6 stuff yet but they look like they'd have all a guy could want in a guitar rig and they seem to have a good rep with people. Programable stuff is great once you get them set the way you want which can take years of touching it up to really get what you want. My main program i use in studio recording is named "Sugar Lips" after my girlfriends nick-name. Laughing The rig in the house i use a program named "Angel Lover" that sounds alot like the studio settings. Both are made up of raunchy distortion with high compression a very small amount of reverb and the EQ set just right and noise gate to keep it from getting out of hand.

Any rig that you want really boils down to how much you like their distortion, if the distortion is what you want the rest is do-able real easy, compression is important though also if you want that "kick you in the balls" punch out of any system. Wink

...I dont like to use alot of distortion in my "leads"...the more the better for the rhythm section though, played through my bridge pick up...Phasing is a cool effect I think to color the distortion...anyway, when I am playing leads I like to use only "the amps" overdrive, & I usually switch to the neck's pick-up...(am I the only one who does this?)...some chorusing & the Rite amount of reverb sounds much better to me when soloing...so that no matter how fast I play...you still hear Every note...the Harmonics seem to Ring/sing much better... Idea

I tend to do this also.. it gives the solo more body and makes it kind of cry... not sure if that's the word needed but i'm sure you know what i mean. Smile

There's been quite a few programing done by the pros but lots of them i don't like the sound of Confused I've always wondered how much of their attention the program really got!? It took me a couple years of screwing with mine to get them where i really was in love with the sound and feel of them. The EQ settings (of all things) were the most critical to get right in order to have the best sqeals and squeltches.

Last I checked, the Iommi guitar was $4000 now it is $1000. (The Gibson model not the Epiphone.) Why did the price drop? The same version of guitar?
