Hi there everyone, also moderators!
I am an old (46 years old Smile ) Dio-Rainbow-Dio's Sabbath-fan
from Finland. I belong in the Children of Northern peoples... Smile
I'd like to ask my question which is related with
the double-dvd "We rock", which I bought here in Finland. You know, it has recorded both in 1982 in Holland and much later on
in Philadelphia.
And I bought it because of that Holland gig.
You see, in 1980's I found and bought this gig as a video version, but nowadays, the quality of that video is quite bad. So, I need a new one video "Dio:Live!", but nowadays here in Finland it is quite impossible to find it!
SO, I was very, very happy to find that dvd "We rock!". But, later on, I noticed, that one song, Heaven and Hell, and Vinni's drum solo from that Holland's gig is MISSING!
What for? Why this has happened? That song, and
the performance in the video "Dio:Live", was great! It's greater than the same song in Philadelpia gig!! Every guy in the stage was did his best and over it in Holland gig! And the audience as well!
I think, that there's no less than few guys in that gig that has forgotten it! And especially the performance of Heaven and Hell!
So, my question is, whether there's "Dio:Live!" available as a video or dvd, there in USA?

The lyrics and music of Ronnie James Dio has always been my favorite stuff. And that it will be on in on...
In this case, I'd hope that I had o wishing well... Rolling Eyes

And I wish ya' all well in the year 2008!

I like the Holland gig as well. That is the 83 holy diver tour. What is sad is they took out the tracks from one that were in the other. To me this is wrong because Ronnie does not sing the same song the same twice.

At one gig he may put more emotion into say Shame on the Night than in another concert or the same with Children of the Sea. His ad libs are not always the same as well.

It is too bad they could not had simply kept both in tact and shown both as they were.

I have the original Philadelphia Spectrum for the 84 concert on VHS but I do not have the Holland one and I do not think that was ever released here in the States.

Ok, thanks for your reply. I don't know wheather VHS is released, or not in US. But is Holland gig released as a dvd in "We rock!"-dvd in US, and without Heaven and Hell in Holland gig?

Ronnie is a very good singer, coming better all the time these days. I have heard, that he has not taken any singing lessons during his career, and his voice has not changed in the direction of a bad, which usually happens to the old singers. As a matter of fact, it has come better nowadays. As he has says, he's a storyteller, which I realised, when I for the first time listened Stargazer by Rainbow... Smile But most of all, he's a great singer!

The Spectrum's performance also was incomplete since the beginning, when it was released on vhs.
That's cause 'One Night in the City' was part of the set list but it never appeared in the vhs/dvd. Does anybody know why?
