MEGADETH's latest album, "United Abominations", has entered the Irish chart at No. 31. The CD has registered the following first-week chart positions so far:

Norway: #21
UK: #23
Australia: #23
Italy: #24
Ireland: #31

According to Hits Daily Double, MEGADETH is on track to sell around 60,000 copies of its latest CD, "United Abominations", in the United States in its first week of release to land in the Top 10 (possibly Top 5) of the Billboard chart. This is more than the 46,000 first-week tally registered by its predecessor, "The System Has Failed" (which debuted at No. 18 on The Billboard 200 chart), and is in line with the 61,000 opening number of 2001's "The World Needs A Hero" (No. 16).

MEGADETH mainman Dave Mustaine has posted the following message in the "Forums" section of the band's official web site:

"We just got back recently from the HEAVEN AND HELL tour and are celebrating our new release 'United Abominations'. It will be just over a week until we fly overseas to celebrate with you in Europe and the U'K.

"I can't tell you how excited we are with the new record and your reaction to it. We are seeing tremendous interest around the world and can't wait to play the new songs for you.

"Just so you know, we are looking to visit Euro/U.K. for the next month, ending in Tel Aviv; go out for a brief tour in the states the month of September or so; go internationally touring again the month of November; and maybe some special shows in December. This is all subject to change — so don't hold me to it.

"Gigantour will not be happening until 2008 due to time constraints, and we will let you know upon further information and scheduling permits.

"Thanks again to BLACK SABBATH and MACHINE HEAD and DOWN for the last couple of months touring time together. Best wishes to HEAVEN AND HELL overseas, too.

"Lastly, I really enjoyed meeting everyone on the last tour; especially the time in the interviews (because those usually sucked in the past)."

Megadeth mainman Dave Mustaine has posted the following message in the "Forums" section of the band's official web site:

"I just wanted to check in real qwik. We are back in Tel Aviv, and the band is in the best 'spirits' I have seen us all in for quite some time now.

"Glen [Drover, guitar] and Shawn [Drover, drums] are already disinfecting a few small square yards of sand to sunbathe all day tomorrow on, and I hear James [Lomenzo] holding court again behind me, as I witnessed last year with the mighty ANTHRAX and hisself in Japan. We are also very ecstatic with the way that the shows all went down this last leg in the UK and Europe.

"I am trying to determine which way the wind is blowing today (metaphorically speaking), and where we will tour next (we have so many dates that we are turning them down!!!), because we are sitting on a really great new record, and we are beside and supported by the best fans in the world.

"I have a list in my cell of all of the territories, and the excitement from the different countries, the promoters, the labels, and most importantly . . . you, our friends and fans from all around the globe.

"I can't wait to take the stage tomorrow night and finish what we started a couple years ago here in Israel. I hope that the young fan that broke his/her leg back then is better and will be at the show.

"Lastly, thanks to everyone that helped serve on this tour bringing this new record and fantastic line-up back to your faithful Droogies and so many countries that we have not had the luxury to play again for some time.

"I wish you were all here with me today; we would've had fun!!!"

Some unconfirmed informations say that the lead guitarist of Megadeth, Glen Drover, is out of the band for family reasons.

The frontman of the band, Dave Mustaine, said that there will be a public announcement about the matter next week.

Some other rumors are even more sure about this that they already mentioned the replacer of Drover, which is Chris Broderick (Nevermore, Jag Panzer)...

So time will show...

MEGADETH mainman Dave Mustaine has posted the following message in the "Forums" section of the band's official web site:

"Over the last six months, we have had almost a dozen [road crew] changes at monitors and sound due to visas, deaths, and inadequacy.

"Tonight [Friday, June 6 in São Paulo, Brazil] I had to walk off the stage for only the second time ever. The first [time it happened] in Toronto [during the first Gigantour].

"My apologies to everyone who didn't understand, but my ears are very important to go forward in my career, and I had to stop the show to fix this.

"I love you all, and I am sorry for the delays. But I only want the best for you."

MEGADETH's setlist for Friday, June 6 concert in São Paulo, Brazil was as follows:

01. Sleepwalker
02. Wake Up Dead

06. Kick the Chair
07. In My Darkest Hour
08. Hangar 18
09. She Wolf
10. A Tout Le Monde - Chris's solo

12. Ashes In Your Mouth
13. Burnt Ice
