I hate to say it. but I hope this doesn't happen. I am partial to Ronnie doing "DIO" music. It was great to see Dio/Heaven and Hell this past year, but I was REALLY looking forward to some new DIO music.
I Love you Ronnie, and of course support anything you do, but I had to express my feelings!

I'm honestly happy to have a new Heaven and Hell's album.
The 3 songs they recorded for the anthology are great stuffs and prove that their musicianship is still on high quality standards. _________________ www.diomessageboard.com

I would love to see a new Dio album, but the fact is that Ronnie Deserves to be back in the big venues, and at this point Heaven and Hell is how he s able to do that _________________ Check out Al Diamond Phillips/Nevermet on the web

2008 will be a milestone of heavy metal. First, the long-awaited "Nostradamus" from Judas Priest and then the new album from Heaven And Hell...
...absolutely nothing in this world can outshine these 2 titans of metallic excellence and power. The crushing sounds of Birmingham steel foundries combined with OTT American reinforcements!!! Everything else is little compared with these gods of metal. _________________ HEAVY FUCKING METAL!!! |

Author/journalist Joel McIver interviewed Tony Iommi (BLACK SABBATH, HEAVEN AND HELL) last week for Total Guitar magazine. An excerpt from the chat follows:
Total Guitar: Is it true that HEAVEN AND HELL are writing songs for a new studio album?
Iommi: Yes, we will be. I'm just putting some riff ideas together now. Then Ronnie [James Dio, vocals] will come over to my house and off we go. We're really looking forward to it, I'm interested to see what will come up. When we've got the basic ideas for the songs ready, we'll probably go over to L.A. and rehearse with the other guys.
Total Guitar: You've been asked about the possibility of a new HEAVEN AND HELL album since the project was announced two years ago. Have you just recently made the decision to record again then?
Iommi: Yes. We talked about it on the last part of the tour. In Japan I said to Ronnie, "Are you up for doing a new album, or what?" and everybody seems really keen to do it.
Total Guitar: Presumably this new album pushes any new recordings from the Ozzy Osbourne-led lineup of BLACK SABBATH further into the future?
Iommi: It does, yes. This project will be a lot quicker, because it makes sense to go into a HEAVEN AND HELL album soon after the tour — while it's still remembered, really.
Total Guitar: Ten years ago I bet you wouldn't have predicted that you'd now be recording a new album as HEAVEN AND HELL, right?
Iommi: No! You just never know. It's been like that for our whole lives, to be honest with you. We do things because they seem like a good idea at the time. |

They could release their crappiest record yet and it would still blow away most other bands' "BEST."

There is ONE thing I beleive is of the utmost importance. Get Adam D. From KILLSWITCH ENGAGE! He's a Friggin Ridiculous Producer. He's produced A bunch of Great Albums From his own band
(4 albums), to Unearth (Hello, The Oncoming Storm!), As I Lay Dying ( An Ocean Between Us), All that Remains (The Fall of Ideals) etc.
Anyway, If you Don't think the guy has Mad Skills Listen to the Cover of Holy Diver by KSE.

We haven't heard anything for a while. But many metal sites are still claiming that the Heaven And Hell dudes will release a new album in the following months.
I hope they are right, since i and everybody else in this forum, are waiting for this album as soon as possible.
I think the fact that Ronnie has 4 years to release something new (except the three songs with Sabbath) makes us more anxious. _________________ Video games are bad for you? That what they said about Rock 'n' Roll... |

Revitalized by the reunion, the lineup is back in the studio now recording the first ever full-length studio album from HEAVEN AND HELL, set to be released by Rhino in early 2009. _________________ Video games are bad for you? That what they said about Rock 'n' Roll... |
