Whether the reason was you were born the wrong year or you never got around seeing them, what bands would you have liked to have seen.
My choices.
Led Zepplin - Was only 12 when they last toured the US (1977). Got to see Plant and Page together twice.
Steve Hackett in Genesis. Saw them a few times post Hackett, but they were not the same without Hackett and Gabrieal there. My favorite version of Genesis was when they were a 4 piece band (Trick of the Tail) days.
Beatles - Who would not want to have seen the most influencial band of the modern era?
Buddy Holly - He died 5 years before I was born. He probably had more influence on rock than Elvis did. |

John Bonham, Phil Lynott and Freddie Mercury all died before I was born and I would have loved to have seen any one of their bands, especially Queen.
I saw Lizzy this year admittedly but while they were great it's just not the same.
I also would have loved to have seen Pink Floyd. Maybe they'll get together agian in the future, who knows. |

Most of the concerts I go to now are the ones I missed for one reason or another. I also like to take my son to those shows, as well as shows from bands I find influential. I want him to see certain bands before the oppurtunity is gone. I want to take him to Maiden, since I have never seen them myself, not sure how many US dates there are going to be though. _________________ Check out Al Diamond Phillips/Nevermet on the web

Since I have yet to see a live show I could say alot, however as I have my life ahead of me I'll just what I will never get to see:
Black Sabbath - With Ray Gillen and Tony Martin
Badlands
Queen - The true and original line-up
Thin Lizzy - The true Lizzy - no Lynott no Lizzy, preferably with Gary Moore
Rainbow - with Dio
Nightwish - With Tarja
Deep Purple - With Ritchie Blackmore
Thats all for now... |

Bowie (again, i could have gone to his 83 concert in Edinburgh but didnt make the effort)
Y Malmsteen (Never seems to come to Scotland when touring)
DORO
King Crimson circa Red period
Be Bop Deluxe c 1976
Wishbone Ash Argus Period (seen them three times, 1980, 2002, 2006

The Beatles for me, I have seen damn near every band I have wanted to see. I am suprised no-one said Elvis. My mom took me to see him when I was in 7th grade, granted he was all fat and near the end but I can say I saw him! A whole lot of him...lol _________________ The world is full of kings and queens,

| ...Elvis Has Never Personified Rock & Roll for me...Think about it...Did he ever write anything that impressive?...he was more of a side show to me...For Me it's Definitely The Beatles/Zeppelin/& Pink Floyd...Then There is Thin Lizzy...My list isn't very big as I have been to over 200 shows through the years... |
