My copy still hasn't come
But there's a parcel next door by the looks of it so I'm off to get that. Fingesr crossed it's that and my copy of Amaranth.
I really like it by the way, except for the voiceovers my leaked version has. |

Right finally got it yesterday and I have to say that it's amazing. Anette works so well with the rest of the band and the songa aer as good as ever, especially PATP. It's all good though. I might write a review a little later.
I really enjoyed the instrumental disc as well. You can hear things you didn't hear before and there's some extra orchestra parts added too. |

| Right now I'm gonna start posting on this thread. I'm trying to get into Nightwish. I heard their song, "Moondance" yesterday, and it sounded pretty sick to me. I was thinking about getting one of their albums, but I don't know which is their best. And I don't have time to listen through samples of all their releases. I need an opinion from a big Nightwish fan. Which album do you recommend? |

Go for Oceanborn or Century Child. Century Child is a tad more commercial sounding, but a fuller sound. Oceanborn is more classical and complex. Those 2 are the best. At a push I'd say Century Child, but only just. Moondance comes from Oceanborn. _________________ Along Came A Spider..... |

I'd go with Century Child too. So many great tracks. Ever Dream has to be their best ever.
And like Holymagica said I'd check out Tarot if you like the male vocals. Picked up their new album a few weeks back and it's awesome. |

What do you think of this coop?
http://youtube.com/watch?v=RToE7oPf2u0&feature=related
It's the new version of Last Of The Wilds and it sounds really cheesey if you ask me. I guess I'm used to the instrumental but it just sounds strange. I don't not like it but the instrumental was far better. |

Instrumental is better. Not too bad though. I think partly it sounds cheesy because of the voice - it almost sounds lke they hired a pixie to sing a folk song! _________________ Along Came A Spider..... |

Thanks Holy and Coop. I listened to some song samples of "Oceanborn" and "Century Child". I gotta say that they both sound like great albums. Looks like I'll have to get both for Christmas. |

Now FOUR TIME PLATINUM in finland, over 120.000 copies!
Last december my mom bought DPP for me, and it was 100% love at first heard. One of the best albums of all times and worlds. Also like very, very much earlier Nightwish stuff, Century Child example is also perfect album. But DPP is just magic....energy of metal is more pure than soul of Jesus! (:
I wonder is it possible for Tuomas to write better album than this. Somewhere in the future, around 2009, as he said that then it's time to begin to write new material. Time will tell...
Until then, we can enjoy this and wish that I was a canadian, heard that Nightwish and Iced Earth will be touring there together...? _________________ "I'll turn away and never face the sun
