GEORDIE , with all due respect , you have no idea what you're talking about , what gives the impression that i dont have anthing else to do in my poor 'pathetic' life ?

1.If you think i have nothing else to do rather than sitting down for days and weeks to write such interpertations , then i guess iam sorry to disappoint you , ive been an efficent /busy person for most of my life , ive finished a bacholer for Architecture , a diploma , worked for 2 years and half and now i moved to the UK to finish up my masters degree , so if you think have plenty of time to waste ,iam sorry to tell you , i definitly dont ...

2nd. Instead of wasting my precious time doing useless and meangliness stuff ( in my opinion) such as getting drunk , watching lame T.V shows or being 24/7 obessed with how to fulfill my inner desires ... i rather do something more efficent enriching my mind , body and soul ..... writting such interpertations is definitly one of them ...

Dio & Sabbath's music and lyrics have been a true positively inspirational and influencial within different aspects of my life ...
i truly adore love ,admire and respect their art craftmanship, its not only about the great voice , riff and music , its more deeper i guess , its what behind the music , maybe you're viewing it within a different perspective yet , i guess you have to respect other people points of view as well ...

cheers...

Very Happy Me too!

...And I also do other things in my free time (won't detail here, it's nobody else's business to know exactly), because you see, the more you ask for yourself, the more you get. The busier your schedule is (with the things that you love), the more room and need there is for others. True. Did you hear about those persons who have an unsatisfactory job and in the evening they just watch TV? They never have time for anything. Time, my friend Geordie, is way different than people are used to think. The same with interpreting the lyrics.

You're feedback is very important to me , iam already building a full website dedicated to all Ronnie James Dio's lyrics and songs interpertations , ive been doing this for quite a long time now , the website will actually include Comic strips for each individual song as well !

Interpertations already written are the following :
Black Sabbath - Lonely is the world , Mob Rules , Heaven & Hell , Computer God
Rainbow - Stargazer & Light In the Black ,Gates of Babylon & Kill the King
Dio - Caught In the Middle and Killing the dragon

i've actually met the band on 01/07/2007
at the backstage aftershow of the Rockwave festival in Athens! ( traveled over 5 hours by plane in Dubai to catch the show and hoping for the chance to meet the band !)

I've spent quite a time with Dio showing him my work and explaining the idea behind the website , basically the comic strip will be built upon a character ' An Elf named Dio ' through which he tends to get through different adventures and stories which are of course his songs from Sabbath , Rainbow and Dio ! the website will also include more detailed line by line analysis to the songs as well !

Dio was very happy , excited and thanked me alot !
here is an artwork image by my friend 'Tarik Diaa 'related to the Computer God concept , down below are the crytsal soliders , while the technological building with the cross presents the ' New religion 'and of coure Dio symbolizes the evil mastermind behind it all !

I want to add a little thing as well , iam trying to build the
interpertations back bone based on what the band and Ronnie specifically had to say about the song and its meaning , from where i do get such detailed source ? well try Martin's popoff amazing illustrated book of black sabbath named Doom let loose and a book named Light beyound the Black illustarting Dio's solo career history as well ! a must buy for any Dio /Sabbath fans if you ask me !

I grab the basic idea from the band , explore the lyrics and music more and come up with something more detailed , of course many people might vision the song differently , but basically , iam trying to be as close as possible to what Ronnie had in mind when writing those lyrics ! iam working on re-writing my old interpertations and put some new others on papers as well !

cheers!

I take computer god is simply talking of our reliance on computers etc. Ronnie does not appear too keen on the things. Plus this was written before the internet boom.

Look at all the gadgets we have with cellphones that play music, movies, take pictures, etc. We have things like the iPod, Treos, Blackberries etc. Look how wireless for computers has come to play. Not to mention video gaming with our latest PS3, Xbox 360, and Wii. Look at our reliance on email and all forms of e communication. Who here remembers type writers and carbon paper? Interoffice memos that were actually put on your desk? Or in your mailbox? Even our war machines are highly computerized. Look back to a movie called War Games to which in reality we, the US did have a problem with a computer that almost sent us into a nuclear war. That error was corrected.

Virtual reality? It is all around us. We sit staring at a computer screen more than we do going outside and smelling the flowers etc. Our reliance on them becomes more everyday so much that the US Postal Office has to raise the price of its stamp because Emails are kicking its arse.

Not to mention the track was written around the time of the Terminator movies which deals directly with the issue of machines we build to make life easier for us turn against us to eradicated us because we are inefficient and harmful to nature etc.

Games Workshop's Warhammer 40,000 universe takes place in the 41st millennium. It is a war torn universe but Man had developed machines to build all the things he needed. He just went to the machine and told it what he wanted. Those societies and govt infrastructure eventually died after 1000s of years and when Man rebuilt he searched for those same machines. No one knew how to make anything. I find that hard to believe that engineers would stop but the genre has it that Man has lost this ability to understand how devices work because he had this reliance on machines building them so no one was taught to be an engineer etc. They actually pray over them to keep them running etc and have a whole religion based on the machine cult devoted to the machine god. This group is known as the Adeptus Mechanicus.

I really agree with your interpretation from what RJD has said himself on stage this really seems to fit in my mind.
