Last night in Brighton was amazing. A great size venue and fantastic sound. It was abot two thirds full. I liked Iced Earth but didn't watch Lamb Of God.

H&H though were something else. From the clips I've seen of the dvd I have to say that they've gotten better as the tour's gone. Especially Ronnie, some of his screams were very impressive. Highlights for me were Computer God, I and Heaven & Hell but everything they played was class.

My only disappoint was the set length. It seems that Brighton has so far been the only show not to have had Shadow Of The Wind as an encore which I was looking forward too. They weren't on late or anything. E5150 started playing at a couple of minutes to nine and Tony finished throwing his picks at 10:30.

But still apart from that a fantastic night. Looking forward to the album and hopefully another show in Brighton Cool

With ref to the beer throwing (3.05 mins in on the second vid) I think its more a carry over from Lamb of God - where they encourage such things, and was possibly done by one of their 'crowd'.
It severely pissed Ronnie off though and is not something thats tolerated in Dio gigs.

Just had the whole family 'round the PC re-living "The Beer Incident" (TM)....bloody disgusting. Mad Did you notice how Ronnie's body language change instantly...he was prowling the stage like he was 10 feet tall!! Great clips, btw...saw my "horn", too! Shocked

Yep it really pissed him off!
Although I think its nothing hes not seen before and is professional enough to just get on with it!
Luckily it was towards the end of the show, had it not been then more may have been made of it perhaps?

I need to sort out a decent camcorder though - with an external mike.. But I imagine the authorities may frown upon this!
Smile

Hi everyone.
Thanks for the great reviews.

Tonight's the night for my lady and me, Plymouth Pavillions, and only 20 minutes away.
To say I'm excited is the understatement of the century.

Would love to write more, but I have a bit of an important date tonight! Twisted Evil

Just hope the 45 year old body can still jump around like it did 20 years ago!
Gig no. 16 for me over the last 27 years. (4 with the Sabs/H&H, 12 with Dio the band).
Love to you all!

I thought the show was pretty awsome Sabbath were gr8 Dio sounded perfect. dont no what happend to half the songs though like After All Devil Cried Shadow Of The Wind ect.
Voodoo was fantastic Mob Rules as well.

Lamb Of God was the biggest fucking pile of absoulute shit iv ever heard in my life fucking bunch of screaming morons dont even deserve to be be on the same stage as Slayer let alone Black Sabbath.

High of the night for me was Ripper i dident really know Iced Earth songs well i only new one song, but i love Ripper, fantasic voice. i would have loved to hear another 40 mins of them play rather than Lamb Of God that complety ruined the show.
