There's no thread in this section, I'm sure there was one at some point. Oh well - there's one now!!
Anyway I have a question, particularly for fans in the UK - how was the Hyde Park gig? I've not heard a whisper about it - surprising since it was about 10 years since they played here. Wonder if the reaction was great enough to warrant their return next year (and I hope so). And of course I want to know how the shows have been elsewhere in the world too! Setlists blah blah. _________________ Along Came A Spider..... |

The Hyde Park show was absoloutely fantastic.......but they came on late so only played about seventy minutes or so. That meant no Dude Looks Like A Lady, Mama Kin or What It Takes but still a great show. I was really impressed how tight they were. The best bit was getting one of the members of RUN DMC (can't remember his name) to come and do Walk This Way as an encore. I can't remember the order of the set properly but they played:
Love In An Elevator
Dream On
Stop Messin'
Seasons Of Whither
Jaded
Don't Wanna Miss A Thing
Eat The Rich
Sweet Emotion
Draw The Line
Walk This Way
And I think a couple more but I'm not sure, I'll have to look it up somehwere. I think they'll come back to the UK next year though since it was a pretty short set and they've got a new album coming out soon. Seemed preety full too.......only problem was the rain. I had to do a certain amount of pushing to see Satriani in the tent because of that lol. |

I saw them in Dublin this summer. They were really good live. They had a big crowd -between 20-30,000 I reckon. The set list was great, pretty much the same as mentioned already, even if it was a tad too short for a band of their stature. They were really tight and knew how to work the crowd (my only gripe was that it was a bit TOO rehersed, stage raps etc. A mate of mine who was at Hyde Park a few days before said Steven was saying the same things etc at both shows). Still had a great time though.
I hope they come back next year -on the back of a new CD. We deserve it after them being away in the USA / Japan for so long, and Europe / UK never getting a look in! |
