I'm trying to keep looking at this realistically, as to wait till Monday for official news, but I just can't. Such amazing news! But, now, does anyone know what's happening to Magica 2 and 3 with Dio, or would this be done after them?

I agree. I think it's impossible that they can't find any record company. I'm sure they will find a lotta record companies!

I'm trying not to get my hopes up, as we've been waiting about ten years for an Ozzy album, but this does seem so much more probable.

I think a lot of people have just dropped a collective shit, so it's only fair we get a new album.

This is what I've been hoping for, another collaboration from Dio, Iommi, Butler and Appice a.k.a. Black Sabbath a.k.a. Heaven & Hell. Although I know I shouldn't I cannot help but get my hopes up.

Also, after watching Holy Diver live and Heaven & Hell live I've got to say that this is a very smart decision - I mean on HDL Dio is great but the quality of the backing band on tracks such as Sign Of The Southern Cross is somewhat lacking.

On H&H live however the whole band is on fire, with Dio looking the most energetic I've seen him outside of the "We Rock" dvd and looking truly happy. Iommi and Butler too souded simply superb and Appice delivered the goods too.

Plus how much longer could the Sabbath legacy last with Ozzy whoring out his leagacy in the band and leaving talent such as Iommi and Butler reduced to automatons and screwing over Bill Ward?

I really have my fingers crossed that this album will come (and possibly a tour to support it) because this will bring the powerful creativity of Iommi/Butler/Dio together agian. If the album is anywhere near as good as Dehumaizer and the three new tracks then all I can say is whatever year this album is released (2008/2009?) it will be the album of the year!

Lets hope this venture follows one of it's lyrics and "goes on and on and on - it's Heaven & Hell"

Not trying to be a smart ellic, but is there a rule against being excited? Why can't we be happy that the idea of them recording a new album has turned from "Don't expect anything past this tour" to "We're going to the record companies about recording a new album?" That's a GOOD sign.

I think Monday is when we get some confirmation that Geezer at least said this.

For what it's worth, the guy that runs Black-Sabbath.com works for Geezer Butler. If it isn't true I'm sure Geezer would have or will be debunking it. The news came on Friday.. it's Monday now.

Sad
I hate to say it. but I hope this doesn't happen. I am partial to Ronnie doing "DIO" music. It was great to see Dio/Heaven and Hell this past year, but I was REALLY looking forward to some new DIO music.
I Love you Ronnie, and of course support anything you do, but I had to express my feelings!

Opinions make the world go-around,but the last DIO CD was an ok release in my opinion, and what do the fans get to hear on his tour? Rainbow and Sabbath Songs!
It would be nice if H&H would possibly play a DIO song and even an Ozzy era BS song to mix it up a bit

well, im up in the air on this. i think finacially it is a smart move on ronnies part. i loved hearing all the sabbath tunes i have not heard ronnie play over the years. i was happy for ronnie playing with alot bigger crowds here in the states. and it was cool to see tony and geezer. cooler stage, etc. etc. except they didnt do over and over, turn up the night and country girl Sad
but...... after hearing the 3 new songs i'm thinking tony is writing all the music and ronnie is doing just the lyrics. my point ? , ronnie solo has more melody. tony leans more towards dehumanizer which i didnt care for. although they probably wont be able to make something like h n h or mob rules again, that was 25 years ago, i do hope they try to strip it down like that and not try to do heavy , updated stuff like dehumanizer and 3 new ones. they dont have to appeal to the new generation they are the originators Very Happy
i dont know, i love h nh and mob rules and there are fast songs on them like dehumanizer but they sound so much different and better than the newer stuff. well , there is alot of talent there i just hope its more melodic like i think ronnie leans towards..
