Just got back from Reading, PA show on Tuesday night. It was a great show as always, got lots of new pics & will post them soon. Queensryche did a really good job, but they had only about 45 minutes to play, if that & some of my favorite songs they didn't play. No The Lady Wore Black or Jet City Woman, and they didn't even play Silent Lucidity, which I never liked anyway but it was a huge hit for them. Alice Cooper was great, way better than expected. He played all the fan favorites, I thought he would have throwed in some new stuff or some of his stuff from the 80's but it was mostly 70's Cooper. Billion Dollar Babies, School's Out, Welcome To My Nightmare, Under My Wheels, Is It My Body, you get the idea. All the classics, I think the newest song was probably the song Poison from the Trash album. Great stage show, he is a real showman. At one point he gets hung on stage, and his daughter has become a regular in his nightmare. He pushes a baby carriage around stage & pulls the baby doll out & kills it. Lots of fake blood also will be splattered into the crowd also if you are in the first couple rows near center. If I had thought Alice Cooper was this good live I would not have waited this long to see him live. After Cooper goes off stage, a lot of the fans left. There were probably more people wearing Alice Cooper shirts than Sabb/Dio shirts at this event. But as you know WE came to see Ronnie not Alice. Heaven & Hell set was basically the same as the 1st leg of the US tour, same stage set, same lighting. Although I was upset that they dropped about 4 songs from the set list. Nothing from the new material, of the 3 new songs none were played not even The Devil Cried. Instead of After All The Dead 5150 leads straight into Mob Rules. Lonely is the Word was missing as well this time. They did come back & do Neon Knights as the encore after Heaven & Hell. I did give Ronnie my Dio/Murray flag which he displayed to the fans & he handed it back. Its kind of turned into a routine, Ronnie has probably had that same flag onstage probably about 25 times & I seem to always get it back, must be Magica. Probably about 10 songs were played, I didn't write it down, and went to the beer line a couple times so I may not be exact. But the band played flawlessly as always, Ronnie's voice is still the strongest in the industry night after night. I was also a little surprised that more people did not show up for the show, there were a lot of empty seats in Reading, even with Alice Cooper on the bill. Not like the first leg, which of the ones I went were pretty much sold out, or looked to be anyway. Anyway another great show, and I am already looking forward to Chicago on the 22nd & St. Louis on the 23rd. See you there.

Great review...thanks Joe! I, too, am kinda amazed that the crowds are dwindling as the support acts are certainly much better than on the 1st leg of the US tour. Also, I was hoping they'd throw in a couple of different songs into the setlist("Turn Up the Night", "Master of Insanity", "Over and Over", "Country Girl", etc.), especially if they were dropping 4 other songs from the 1st leg. I'm not really sure why they are only doing 10 or 11 songs?

It's still possible I might see the Vegas show in October, still trying to work out some details...

See you on the road sometime soon!

LLRNR,

Yeah Jack I was thinking the same thing about the set list. They shuold keep in the staples like Heaven & Hell, Neon Knights, Die Young, etc.. And mix it up a little bit with some of the other songs they didnt touch upon. I would love to hear Country Girl, Wishing Well, Letters From Earth, Sins Of The Father, etc..To do this many dates & stay with the same songs can get stale for the fans & some wont go but one time & not pay to see the same show twice. Not to mention the subtraction of songs. I had read a review from Tate of Queensryche saying that every night would be a different set list, for the fans that come to multiple shows. I would love to go to the Vegas show, but not possible. Chicago & St. Louis will wrap it up for me for this tour. As mush as I love the reunion thing I will be anxiously awaiting a new Dio tour. Starting now to crave the Dio tunes live again. See you soon.

/My Wife and I attended the Heaven and Hell show in tampa Florida on Fri. nite 9/14/07. We have to admit Alice Cooper definitely stole the show. He has a great new band with some excellent guitar players. They did all their hits from the 70's and 80's especaally The Ballad of Dwight Frey,my all time favorite. Great theatrical show as well really well done and a real crowd pleaser. QUEENSRYCHE only played about 40 minutes but what they played was very good despite some technical difficulties. And they did play Jet City Woman very well. But nthe real reason we went was to see HEAVEN AND HELL and honestly were disappointed by the limited set list only about 10 or 11 songs.and no Lady Evil, or The Devil Cried or The Shadow of The Wind..Ronnie's voice wqas quite good and the rest of the band were tight but really bummed about the lenght of the show... Hope to see DIO with his own band and hear my all time favorite HOLY DIVER..Also I was very surprised by the small crowd, possibly because the were doing 2 other shows in Central Florida
