I definitely agree with The Wolf. The Heaven and Hell DVD is truly awesome. A great performance all along, with an excellent version of the song 'Heaven and Hell.'
I suggest you get this one as soon as you can! |

That was an awsome watch Voodoo sounded awsome.
A good 45mins of Bonus stuff as well very pleased with this item.
Dio sounds better than on Holy Diver Live imo. player with better players & bigger arena gave him a little more of a spark i bet. _________________

The scream in the mob rules. How in the hell can he scream like that, at his age? I hate to be unrealistic guys but, Ronnie James Dio's spark is immortal.
Just got the DVD today when I was on a trip to the Metro Centre in Gateshead. didn't have enough dosh for the limited edition box set. (Fate, you're a BASTARD!) |

As I've said before, I believe that changes, such as lowering of pitch, in Ronnie's voice are allowing him to do things with it that he couldn't before. Older performances of Mob Rules (like the We Rock DVD) compared to say HD LIVE suggest that his vocal style is possibly becoming more aggressive, and screams feature more now than they did. And with a band as heavy as H&H, it works fantastically. I for one love it. That scream on Mob Rules, like the one on Gypsy on HD LIVE give me goosebumps.
Spyke - you should order from Amazon - this is the second time I've been sent more than I paid for! (and luckily it has never worked the other way round - let's see how long that lasts) _________________ Along Came A Spider..... |

| Just picked the dvd up for $15.99 at HMV in Ottawa and have been reliving the concert all night. Dio's voice gets better with each track, and Tony's intros & solos are amazing. About 1 hour of bonus material, and great sound/filming. Buy it!! |

Just got it myself. Took this long, as sadly, had a hard time finding a place that sold it.
awesome. Noticed age is catching up a bit, but great performance. What struck me was how the audience was much better now than when he first joined. They came because they were lovers of HIS music, not Ozzy's.
I think he missed a few cues as well.
Haven't seen it all yet, but liked what I have seen, and they really picked up as the concert went on. Only just got to Voodoo, cool additions. |

| I think Dio is as good as he can get considering his age. He managed most of the songs very adequately. Better performance than on the DVDs from this century. Veeery pleased! |

The dvd is great, but as i said before "somewhere" at the forum..I think it was shot too early. If you watch videos (youtube) or listen to various mp3 found on the net his voice got much better in europe.. Of course the sound quality on the dvd is 100 times better.
Normally i skip the drum solos,i find them quit boring, but i have watched this several times. Its really nice to see Vinny again,he is such a powerful drummer.
And one last thing for now..
I really think they should have included Scott Warren on the credit list.He did a great job as well. |
