SPINAL TAP ARE BACK!! Source: AOL.co.uk

Spinal Tap is back, and this time the US mockumentary band wants to help save the world from global warming.
The mock heavy metal group immortalised in the 1984 mockumentary, This Is Spinal Tap, will reunite for a performance at Wembley Stadium as part of the Live Earth concerts scheduled worldwide for July 7.
The original members of Spinal Tap will be there: guitarist Nigel Tufnel (played by Christopher Guest), singer David St Hubbins (Michael McKean) and bassist Derek Smalls (Harry Shearer). Rob Reiner, who both directed This Is Spinal Tap and played the fake documentarian Marty DeBergi in the film, will also be in attendance.
A new 15-minute film directed by Reiner on the band's reunion will also play at the opening night of the Tribeca Film Festival in New York today.
The festival, hosted by Al Gore, is to open with a showing of several global warming-themed short films produced by the SOS (Save Our Selves) campaign.
SOS is also putting on the Live Earth concerts, to be held across seven continents.
Reiner explained the reunion of Spinal Tap - a band always known more as a parody of rock'n'roll excess than environmental awareness.
"They're not that environmentally conscious, but they've heard of global warming,'' said Reiner, whose other films include When Harry Met Sally and Stand By Me.
"Nigel thought it was just because he was wearing too much clothing - that if he just took his jacket off it would be cooler.''
Spinal Tap has reunited several times since the film, but hasn't for a number of years. For the band - whose last album was 1992's Break Like The Wind - the occasion warranted a new single: Warmer Than Hell.
Reiner provided a sneak peak at the lyrics: "The devil went to Devon, it felt like the fourth degree. He said, 'Is it hot in here, or is it only me?'''
The director said the new short film explained what the band had been doing with their lives lately. Nigel has been raising miniature horses to race, but can't find jockeys small enough to ride them; David is now a hip-hop producer who also runs a colonic clinic; and Derek is in rehab for addiction to the internet.
Reiner, 60, has for more than 20 years worked with the National Resources Defence Council, an environmental action organisation. Though the Spinal Tap reunion will be a lot of laughs, he hopes the SOS short films programme and the Live Earth concerts have a substantial effect.
"What I think is going to be nice about this whole effort is there will be marching orders for people,'' said Reiner. "Not only from a personal standpoint of what individuals can do in their lives, but a macro perspective with respect to the public sector and government.''

The world will never be the same again, such divinity cannot ensue without consequence!

This news made me do a little dance when I heard it...becoz its a crime that Steve Perry has not been working.

Former EXTREME and current SATELLITE PARTY guitarist Nuno Bettencourt has told The Boston Herald that he is writing material with legendary JOURNEY frontman Steve Perry. No further information is currently available.
I hope this comes true....I will buy it no matter what.
Steve Perry one the world's greatest vocalist...anyone slangs him off and they are banned from here... Twisted Evil

19th of November is the release day of Sebastian Bach's solo album.

Under the title "Angel Down" and with the help of Bobby Jarzombek, Johny Chromatic, Mike Chlasciak & Steve DiGiorgio!

Many song titles are already known, but those that got the attention are "Back In The Saddle" (Aerosmith cover) and "(Love Is) A Bitchslap" for the reason that Axl Rose has a vocal part....

So far so good... we will see how the full album will sound..

Ever since the show Supergroup, I cant stand Sabastian. The guy lives in this fantasy world where its all about him. I met him way back in the Day when he was with Madam X. He was always just a pretty boy who got all the breaks. He's a decent Vocalist for the style he plays, but gets way to much credit for being a great vocalist. He's not in the same league as guys like RJD.

Reunion No 1. This is about the Scottish alternative rockers Jesus And Mary Chain.

This will be their first album since 1998 and the "Munki"

They expect to release their new album somewhere between spring and summer of 2008

Before the album a box-set will be released with 4 cd that will contain unreleased songs, demos, acoustic pieces and many other that are not yet granted for sure.

Reunion No 2. I think you remember the "More Than Words" !!

13 years after their last album and after 2 mini reunions in 2004 and 2006, the American band "Extreme" are coming back with a new album and world tour in 2008 !!!

The members of the band are:
Nuno Bettencourt (guitar- producer of the new album)
Pat Badger (bass)
Kevin Figueiredo (drums - part of Satellite Party until recently)
Gary Cherone (vocals)

The last guy was frontman of Van Halen and Mr.Big for a short period. He also participated in the great concert-tribute of Queen to Freddy Mercury in 1992

The guitarist, composer, producer and founding member of the A Perfect Circle, Billy Howerdel, will release in March his first album without them.

On the new album Howerdel will do everything except the drums (vocals, guitar etc) that they were recorded by John Freece of the A Perfect Circle. Even though Freece participates, the album will be solo and its name is Ashes Divine which is also the name that he gave to his new "band" (what band, he does everything by his own actually)

The production was made by... guess who !! The mixing though was made by the very famous Alan Moulder (Depeche Mode, Nine Inch Nails etc).

Let also remind you that Howerdel started as a light technician and continued as guitar-tech in bands like David Bowie, Guns N' Roses, Smashing Pumpkins and Tool. In the tours of Tool he met Maynard
James Keenan and they decided to create the A Perfect Circle.
