Hi, I finally met the God of Metal in Melbourne Australia @ Rod Laver Areana on the 10 August at the Heaven and Hell Concert, My 12yo son and myself were lucky enough to get Back stage passes to meet the band, Tony Iommi & Geezer took off walked right passed my son who just wanted an autograph without even a hello BUT when DIO came out he signed our Guitar scrath plates gladly, without hesitation, he was the kindest, most generous and beautiful man, He made my son's year and both of us can't thank him enough, He is the GOD OF METAL.

do you know that i feel like crying now?
i never got to meet him but i dream of it so much.i mean come on...Jordan...he never came here and i don't think he will...but still we go to bulgaria to see my other relatives and once when i was there he made a Dio concert there but in a City far from us that got me so DOWN... |

I understand, I was lucky enough to go to a Dio concert in 1987 in Melbourne, 20 years is a long time to wait but well worth it, he is a true gentleman and my son and I feel so honoured to be able to meet him. Keep Rockin!!!

I was at the melbourne show also in aug 10 2007.
Dio Rocked , Falling off the edge of the world was brilliant also heaven and hell also was great.
I didnt get the chance to go back stage though would have loved to.
It was the first time i have ever seen him on stage, following his music now for 20 years from his elf years to my personall favourite Rainbow years. Heaven and Hell album was the greatest ever heavy metal album ever released!! Mob Rules was brilliant also very underatted!
I understand that iommi and buttler just walked away, they are only in sabbath for the money!! Iommi can't play guitar with his plastic finger , he is a useless guitarist with those crappy finger hammerons and tinny over leady guitar solos!
He knows without Dio on vocals Sabbath was nothing!
And Heaven and Hell was all DIO!!
DIO is a gentleman and a schollar, hes my hero with the greatest vocals of any metal band, The true ultimate vocalist!
Iommi and Buttler are geazers, they were dumb enough to drop Dio for a Ozzy reunion , all for some dollars. Crazy arseholes!
Dio's voice absoluttely shits on Ozzy.
I enjoyed the melbourne show apart from iommis dumb and basic solos!
I was waiting to hear lonely is the word, I believe it is a clasic!
IN conclusions, it didnt surprise me what iommi and buttler did, because they mean nothing!
The real star is and always will be DIO!
I really hope to meet with him one day!
Dio you are the greatest, I have looked up to you for so long.
Your voice takes me to a very special place , where nothing else matters, Thanks again, and keep rocking!

I couldn't of said it better myself, Heaven and hell Mob Rules are 2 of the best Sabbath/ Metal albums ever, my favorite Dio album is still Holy Diver and as you said THE GREATIST METAL VOCALS EVER!!!!! Dio's voice can be beautiful and than just damn powerful and evil, I really enjoyed the Concert just wish they could of done a couple more numbers, I guess I'm just getting greedy! The good news Dio said he would be doing a new studio DIO album, definately somthing to look forward to.
To all Dio fans, Keep the Faith!!!

Shoogun you are so lucky to get back stage passes for you and your son. What I wouldn't give for that chance. What an awsome Concert it was. None of them had lost their touch.
Dio what a Powerfull awsome Voice!!!!!!!!!!!! Was blown away as was my 19yr old |

Sabbynib, You said it, it was an absoloute honour and something my son and my self will never forget.
It just goes to show that their music and of course Dio's vocalsl appeals to all ages, no boundries.

I would have been exactly the same way. along with a few tears and aw struck. But I cant believe that Tony, Geser & Vinie walked straight passed you. I would have been devistated at that. At least Dio still thinks of the Fan's. After all with out us where would they be. Still wish it was me. How did you score those tickets, you are so lucky. I've waited for yrs for them to come out. |

| is it true that one of the problems the group had is that Dio and Vinny Stayed with fans after concerts but Tony Iommi and Geezer didn't like it...???? |

Hi Reem, I can only speak for myself, but there were only 6 people waiting to meet the Band, including my son and myself, and Tony Iommi & Geezer just walked straight past us, not even a wave or "hello". when I asked their Tour Manager all he said was Dio always stays behind for the Fans, to me it was like the other 2 just leave after a show and Dio and Vinnie stay behind to meet the people that have helped get them where they are today, the FANS!!!

if Tony and Geezer stayed once with the fans i think that they will like it.it's just like having fun with friends...but still i can't say how it feels because i was never there  |

Hi Sabbynib, just to clarify, Vinnie stayed behind with Dio and was an absoloute gentleman as well.
