The problem is that real musicians (RJD, AC, BS, etc.) refuse to give the drugged out masses what they want.
"Sex, sex, sex
Even bigger, even better
Don't lose out, be a winner
Save more, save time and save now
One hundred thirty per cent American people
Would like to be like everyone else"-RJD
Who doesnt want sex...But RJD and other metal bands don't treat it the way rappers and pop artists do. Metal views sex as being holy. Rap and pop makes it seem just like a thing to do. Dio Rules. Anyone who doesn't like him can suck me. _________________ Chase the horizons, catch the illusion

dehumanizer was the last album i got with dio on it, mostly because of the reviews they were so mixed from this sucks to this is a master piece
so i bought it about 3 years ago and put it in and boy is this album one killer album every song rocks amazing vocals and riffs
this album is not as good as the greatest heavy metal record of all time(heaven and hell) but it is slightly better than mob rules
a must own and very underrated _________________ they'll take your diamonds and give you steel youll be caught in the middle of the madness lost like them and part of all the pain that they feel AND ALL THE FOOLS SAILED AWAY- Ronnie James Dio |

Ahhh she makes an entrance, you decided to tour this side of the tracks in the city of lost angels, dioisgod?
There are only a few tracks as in two that I feel are ok. The rest I like. It is sad they could not have made another one to follow at that time.
As to this statement by Obscene:
"Metal views sex as being holy." The only problem with that statement is that there is/was lots of metal that was about sex, drugs, and rock n roll. _________________ Smacks & Manly Thumps,

Only things truly wrong with this album was the timing and the cover, horrible. But then again, Black Sabbath sure has a history with dreadful cover art starting from Paranoid, Sabotage etc. A couple of songs Iīd have polished a little bit more or wholly replaced, Master Of Insanity and Buried Alive.
Someone said earlier that this album has only couple of sogs with good melodies or something like that. I really donīt agree. This album has really dark, lurking, evil atmosphere and melodies. Theyīre just not so conventional. Times had changed and so did Sabbath. Up to that point Ronnie had dictated certain standards how a Dio song should be built. The melodies were not bad at all, but the compositions and production could have been better. Suppose, Angry Machines would have been produced by, letīs say Rick Rubin, and the backing band had been Entombed. That would have been a match made in hell!
Anyway, I did give this vinyl a spin again anī it was an enjoyable experience once again. |

This album does not get half the credit it deserves. Ronnie and the boys really laid down some very heavy tracks. Came out during the birth of grunge and maybe that was why it was / is never really thought about.
TV Crimes is a classic!!!! |
I agree. It is actually my favorite Dio Black Sabbath album. I really love "I" and "Voodoo" are wonderful!

Dehumanizer was a very special record with some great song. But now I love that record more than in 1992! I don't know why. _________________ Who cried for the children?

grunge is gone long time ago while we're still talkin about those things that last ;
we know heavy metal albums dont play on radio's much so most metal performers promote tours after an album
Dehumanizer tour was interrupted by ozzy's retirement act. oddly enough though he released an album a year after that. it was clear that he did that trick to break the guys apart since he can't see the band with a better vocal for he considered it "an X wife" as ozzy says.
Dehumanizer is a strong heavy album _________________ Don't live for pleasure, make life your treasure.... Fade away |

This is my Favourite Black Sabbath Album. I noticed the Early Dehumanizer Demos Started just with the Song "Computer God", I heard that song on its Demo Version, and what a Surprise...
It is way too Different from the "Computer God" Song that appears on Dehumanizer Album, even the Voice of the Singer is not the one from Ronnie James Dio.
Thinking a bit about the Lyrics, I guess it was RJD who introduced the "Concept" on this Album, and perhaps its name too.
This Album is very underrated because the Tour suffered from Sharon Osbourne's Sabotage. I only hope she won't do it again now... |
where did you hear the demo's? i seem to recall a little clip of a diferent version of "computer God" on the black sabbath story when i had the VHS version. The devil, i mean my vcr ate volume one and two back when i used to live beside a cemetery and the central air would make doors slam shut and i never lived in a place with central air but i THINK that's what it was.... |

This is an incredible album, loved it the moment I heard it. Awesome video clip also for TV Crimes. The tracks are unbelievable: Time Machine, After All, I, Sins Of The Father, etc. All gems, not a weak one on there. Definitely deserves a lot more recognition. _________________ ToRn |

The cover and the concept deserve worship itself.
I demand we make a cult out of this album! |

I don't rate Dehumanizer as highly as I would rate H & H or Mob Rules, yet I seem to listen to it more.
I think some tracks are absolute classics; Computer God, TV Crimes, and some are a little weaker; Too Late, Master of Insanity, but when you get three musicians of the calibre of Black Sabbath (Did Appice do any writing?) together, it is unlikely you get any terrible songs.
Great album basically, perhaps overshaddowed by the other two. _________________ Rest in peace Ronnie James Dio |
