Well, I liked Sabbath back in the day with RJD and I'm really excited about maybe getting to see them. But I have never seen RJD in concert and I have to say it's RJD I want to see. Doesn't matter which band to me. I'd go to either. I guess I really would rather see him with Dio then Sabbath but I realize this is historical and hopefully I'll get another chance to see him with Dio.

As for cutting new albums, hmmmm, Again, the reunion thing is kind of cool and rather historical but my personal preference is new Dio, not new Sabbath.

But what I really want him to do is whichever makes him happiest because if he's not happy then the music will be lacking.

What i really would like him to do... Razz

1.Make Magica pt 2
2.Then a regular DIO album
3.Make the last part of Magica.

When he has done this he will be a few years older..So,then i would really like to see him back with ELF..
Maybe even do some Ronnie & Redcap kind of thing too. Smile

And of course they would have to make a dvd as well.

I'm thinking, the old Ozzy's Sabbath are untouchable, but the only Sabbath future is with Dio on vocals, otherwise the reunion with Ozzy or a new Sabbath line up will be a flop!

I'd love to see Dio return to his own band. I mean Dio's form with his own band as late has been untouchable. For me personally Magica through to Master of the Moon have all been fantastic studio efforts, bolstered by the superb Evil or Divine live album and faltering only slightly with the Holy Diver live album which was good but could have been better, saved by the inclusion of tracks such as Sign of the Southern Cross and Gates of Babylon.

The fact is I love all of Dio's work from Elf - Dio so why limit the material to a band that despite the presence of superb vocalists such as Glenn Hughes, Ian Gillan, Ray Gillen, Tony Martin and of course Dio will always be associated with the clown prince of darkness that is Ozzy. Ozzy's legacy was dominant and influencial but is erroding because of narrowminded orthodox Ozzy fans and the behaviour and past actions of the man himself.

With the band Dio we get to hear whatever Dio decides to perform from Rainbow, Sabbath and his own bands work, played by talented musicians that all get along. The Heaven and Hell tour is great but Magica 2+3 and the tours for those will be better (so long as nothing happens to Dio's Voice in the meantime).

So I voted return to Dio.

I voted for go back to Dio, but back and forth betweent the two is cool, especially another classic like Dehumaniser.

Personally I think it is possible for all permutations to live in harmony. The days of a new album coming out year on year are past, so it should be possible for all concerned to do what they want, when they want.

I voted to return to Sabbath. I feel RJD did his best work with Sabbath, and that is what he should end his career doing.

I love Dio years with BS .IMO Iommi is looking for a way to survive using Dio and/or Ozzy's name but there must be something interesting for them in joining Iommi again.
I like H&H because -in a concert -I listen many songs that Dio doesn't use to perform with his band.

I want him back with Dio for a couple of reasons...

First, the guy isn't imortal. He is 66...a mind blowing, strong rocking 66, but still getting older, as we all are. Thinking he can go between the bands for much longer is unrealistic, imo.

Secondly is for purely selfish reasons...I like the smaller venues, easier access to passes and the Dio band material. I love H&H as well, the most incredible concert I have ever been to, but would like to hear Dio songs now. And I mean I'm being selfish because he is back on top again. I fear that rejoining Dio would be a disappointment to him....

Anyway, that's my take on it...
