Hi all,
This is probely posted somewhere on here, but I'm not going to look for it.
if 1 song desrves it's own thread it's this 1.
"The chase" is sooo good it gives me the chills the duel vocal mix is not of this this world (it's perfection). I must of been sleeping under a rock or something, cause I just came accross it hrs ago.. where the hell have I been??

I love Ronnie to death, but Geoff Tate is friggin Sick! |

I completely agree my friend!
I'm not a big Queensryche fan at all
but I heard this and it was my favourite song for months and months on end it's absolutely GREAT
just the soaring vocals between them it's fantastic!
I reccomend anyone who hasnt heard it to do so
because it's an amazing duet!
Cheers

Dio is under-mixed.
You can definately tell he didn't write this
It's kind of messy and scattered, could just be the live aspect.
Something I need to see and hear once, wouldn't worry that it's not in the collection at all.
Needs more Dio! |

I like Queensryche, expecially their first album (THE WARNING is my favourite one!) but OPERATION MINDCRIME II is awful. IMO, also if The Chase is the best song of the album, that is a bad song too. Ronnie James Dio is great, but the song isn't good at all (according to me, of course) and Tate should give up, he can't sing very well anymore.
Watch (and listen to) the video:Queensryche (feat. Ronnie James Dio) - The Chase
Geoff Tate is terrible! _________________ THEY CAN'T STOP US, LET 'EM TRY, FOR HEAVY METAL WE WILL DIE!

Thanks Mario that's a really great song. I keep meaning to pick up something by Queensryche. Geoff Tate sounds pretty good, must've had a fantastic voice back in the day. But Dio does sound better. |

Listen to THE WARNING by Queensryche. It got some Iron Maiden influences in it and it kicks ass! _________________ THEY CAN'T STOP US, LET 'EM TRY, FOR HEAVY METAL WE WILL DIE!

back in the day it was amazing. Pick up the first 4 albums, after "Empire" things are going downhill, and that album isn't even the best. _________________

| Just picked up their greatest hits. Sounds pretty good from what I've listened to already but I'll give it a proper go when I'm on holiday next week. |

Does anyone have an actuall in concert video of this song. I could not be sure if Ronnie James part was live But the youtube vid seemed like a music video. I love the song and look forward to the sovereign center show with both of these bands and Alice Cooper too. _________________ "You can turn it upside down" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nx3w3Bskmh0 |
