OK, this band isn't metal, but a lot of people on this board appreciate female singers, and Harriet Wheeler is one of the best in my opinion. Check out this link for a beautiful song.

Great band... so well named...great listening on sunday morning...great hangover music
Harriet vocals where similar to Julianne Regan from All About Eve.
Thanx for the trip down memory lane...I forgot this band! |

They put out two records after Reading, Writing and Arithmetic (named Blind, and Static and Silence) which were good, but not such big hits even though they had some excellent songs. Then they just dropped out of the scene to raise their kids. Maybe they got disgusted with the business and just decided to be normal parents. Anyway, I hope like hell they do a reunion tour - I will be there at the front row for sure. _________________ Bass guitarists hold it all together. |

Great band. Have their first two albums and I think I may have seen them perform live once. |
