Nice guitars
I have a bunch of stuff, but dont really play any of it very well. Being a vocalist I always relied on guys like GG, and D-Man to feed my vocal and lyrical talents. I do play drums, Guitar and Bass, all just a little bit though.
I have a Goth Les Paul thats pretty cool, its the epiphone version though so not very expensive, but I like it. I also just bought and applause Summit series acoustic electric. _________________ Check out Al Diamond Phillips/Nevermet on the web

I play guitar and I have four guitars: an old classical guitar, a folk guitar, a Squier Stratocaster (color SunBurst) and a black Fender Stratocaster (the one that I use the most). _________________ THEY CAN'T STOP US, LET 'EM TRY, FOR HEAVY METAL WE WILL DIE!

I mostly just play guitar, i have done some singing, bass and drums but like Al i truely need to just rely on guys like him and David to do my thing on guitar because i'm not a good bass player, drummer or singer but i can play guitar.
I have four main axes that i use and some stragglers:
I use a Gibson LesPaul standard plus.
A 1972 Fender Strat (hard tail)
A Epiphone flying V ..use this a lot! Love it!
A Hondo Formula 1 that a friend and i rebuilt and reshaped into a custom job and loaded with hotter pickups.
A 1962 Fender Duo Sonic that used to belong to Paul Raveir and the Raiders.
A ESP 7-String black axe that a very good friend and musician gave me but the neck on it warped and now needs replayed
Alittle blue bass cheepo deal but works
A Arbor accoustic 12 string very nice guitar had for years apon years.
A six string accoustic ovation copy sounds damn good.
A little kids LesPaul copy small scale thing that is my boys first guitar
Amps i use inclued a Digitech 2112 with foot controler that i run into a Messa Boogie 50/50 tube amp awsome amp just kick you in the balls awsome! Speakers for this setup are four single cab Cellesians (12") made to Marshall single 12" cab specs like micro stack cabs...great sound! With spiderweb grills for the flashy one of a kind touch, don't like to look like everyone else.
A Digitech Valve FX pre amp into a Dean Markly solid state 30 or 50 watt thing not sure, don't care much for solid state but does work good for recording at low volumes.
At one time i was using a Crown Power Tech 3 which is huge with power but is mainly a mains power amp so it's used for live setup (gig) situations. The mains include a set of four 15" full range mains that are loaded into baffled single cabs with two mid range horns on top of them and two high range horns on top of those. These mains need to be reloaded with something with more balls like some big 15" EV's or something that will break beer bottles And i really think they need to be loaded with better crosovers aswell. _________________ GUITARGOD |

I have two custom Precision basses I built using Warmoth bodies, and WD jazz bass necks. You can see them on the warmoth.com website under custom instruments! I also have a fretless jazz bass I built with a Warmoth neck and a Shechter body. Since coming to Holland, I also bought a fender Squier precision bass and Fender Squier Jazz bass. I modified them a bit and like them a lot. I'm a bit of a bargain hunter in case you haven't guessed.
For electrics I have a Epiphone Standard Les Paul I love, plus a Fender Japanese Squier strat I put a Mighty Mite ebony neck on (the other one had a broken truss rod and warped), plus a Samick 450 semi-acoustic. For acoustics I have a Takamine C-128 classical (hot tip - great guitar and not to expensive), a Alvarez Yairi 12 string and Alvarez Yairi 6 string. They are sought after and going up in value quickly, and really challenge old Martins for quality.
I have a Studiomaster powered 700 watt board which I love (highly recommend to check ebay for them!), plus a Behringer small mixer I use for PC recording, and some German made main speakers and monitors. I also have a Nady SX-900 power amp I like a lot.
For microphones, I have one big studio condensor mic, a Carvin live mic, CAD live mic, and an EV which I really like overall. Also have a really old AKG mic which sounds great for blues. Bought it from a stripper in LA!
That's about it - according to my wife it's way too much but then I point to the closets of shoes and frigging $300 purses! _________________ Bass guitarists hold it all together. |

Four Guitars
1. My child, my pride and joy, Carol, my Gibson SG.
2. The Guitar I learned on, Karla, My Epiphone Les Paul
3. My Ovation, Diana.
4. My Classical Yamaha. (didn't name it)
I use Dean Markley Strings and D'Addrio Strings. (Might try Ernie Ball Strings, aint sure, I like Dean Markley, but.......ye know, Ernie Ball has the more trustworthy Six String Bass Strings which I want to use for the darker sounds)
Fender Amps, and Picks that keep turning up everywhere. _________________ Chase the horizons, catch the illusion

Just bought and received over Ebay in Germany an early, Japanese Squier Telecaster with black body and maple neck! I love it, and the neck is absolutely amazing! It's the silver series, and all of them are going up in value quickly (probably because you can't touch a US Fender for under a grand anymore!) Even the Korean ones are pretty good, as well as the Mexicans but the Japanese are worth the most (DON'T buy an Indonesian one - they suck!)
It's a little beat up on the body, and probably needs a fret replaced, but I'm really happy about it. I have a Behringer amp I'm playing it through that sounds great. Forgot to say that I also have a Carvin bass amp. _________________ Bass guitarists hold it all together. |

Jet Black, kinda like Iommi's
I'm thinking about getting a Menace SG for live performances, cos they're cheaper and still an SG..... _________________ Chase the horizons, catch the illusion

I too think an SG is a very underrated guitar, and a nice combination of the best of Gibson and Fender qualities in some ways (not so heavy, better access to top frets). People forget that the SG was really a Les Paul, and the original Les Paul went completely out of production because the SG was supposed to replace it. Because of people like Clapton and George Harrison the Les Paul was brought back.
Love Angus, Toni, Buck Darma (BOC), Frank Marino, Robby Kreiger and a lot of other people who played them and made them rock (anybody check out a Mahogany Rush album lately? God that guy rocked!) _________________ Bass guitarists hold it all together. |
