The original VH lineup worked so well, and it's sad they can't get it together for the reuinion. Of course when you have that many huge egos it's hard to stay together long.
My impression is that Sammy is probably a really cool guy and probably the only one who could put up with the rest of them for very long. However, I have always musically preferred VH with Roth, and Sammy on his own with Bill Church, Tommy Aldrich and his other guitarist (who's name I can't remember but who rocked). That old Montrose stuff just rocked too - Ronnie Montrose is another example of a career being ruined by being a huge dickhead.
