...Hi GOTSM ...cute avatar... Smile ...I am puzzled why you chose Invisible?... Confused ...the only thing that disappoints me about this song is that it is far to short!...anyway...I read your other post where you were discussing how you are disappointed that DIO is only doing one show in Italy...be grateful...we have been missing Ronnie here in America ever since 2004... Sad ...I'd be "over there" in a second if I could only get my damn Motorcycle to run on the water!... Laughing ...PeacE...& Long Live RJD!!!

I don't know, maybe it's fault of the intro (of almost one minute) that remember me so much the duets that make Ozzy Osburne and his daughter. Puah.
Then, I don't feel the same emotions like with the other songs.
Usually the voice of Ronnie "heats me", my skin often has the same reaction that is had when you have cold or fear (I don't know how translate the word sorry!)
For the tour I would recommend you to read again the post....
For the motorbike, if you can, arrive to me, you will found me down in the park with the armbands and the life belt ok?
p.s. your avatar nice too Rolling Eyes Wink
p.p.s sorry for my bad english Shocked

Rainbow in the Dark... VH1 rated that one of the top 20 greatest metal songs. WHAT!?! Holy Diver is much better then Rainbow in the Dark. Don't get me wrong its a good song. But there is much better...

Most Overrated Songs Played Live:

· Rainbow in the Dark
· We Rock
· Egypt
· All the Fools Sailed Away
· Push

I can understand why Jimmy Bain was so bored that he left the band twice.

I agree. That's why we haven't been able to see him in 2 years.

He is so UNDER RATED it makes me sick.

I do have songs that I think are better than others, but none that are over rated.

I would have to say that whilst many many Dio songs are under-rated, there are some which though good are definitely over-rated - such as:

1+2) Rainbow in the Dark/Don't Talk to Strangers - these are ok songs, infact Rainbow helped me get into Dio however these are for me the weakest songs on Holy Diver and they over played live too.
3) Holy Diver - Again good song but over played live, I like it but not a song I would have picked for a title track (I would've picked Shame on the Night personally...)

Other than these I would add We Rock for the same reasons as above - over played live, I mean I love live albums but another version each live album...The one exception to the HD tracks being over played live would be on the HD live album - hearing them in sequence live was excellent and although the over rated tunes got played (very well) it gave the other gems a chance such as gypsy and caught in the middle + it brought under-rated songs which hadn't been released live out such as gates of babylon + one night and resurrected sign of the southern cross.

We Rock overrated? Excuse me? It's one of the ultimate Dio songs. It defines what the band Dio is all about. It has the speed, the melody and Ronnie REALLY nails it. Well, perhaps the chorus gets too repetitive, but overall it's a great song!

Thank you. After all these years, I still don't tire of it, and I dare any kid to show me what they listen to that's as hard as that. Razz It's ridiculous the ass-kicking that song lays down.

I'd say Hungry for Heaven, I Could Have Been a Dreamer and a few others. But I agree there is A LOT of underrated songs too.

For me the most overrated Dio songs have to be

Rainbow In The Dark
We Rock
Holy Diver (to a certain extent)
I Could Have Been A Dreamer (it'd still be a pretty cool surprise live though)

IMO they all need retiring from the live set nowadays because it's getting a little predictable, especially We Rock. That song has just never done it for me for some reason. In fact I think that all the songs from Holy Diver in the average live set are overplayed. Straight Through The Heart deserves more recognition.
