| I know that they were planning for a US issue of the Holy Diver remaster, what happened to that? And what about the other albums? I'd love to see Sacred Heart and Dream Evil remastered. And it would be nice to see God Hates Heavy Metal on an Angry Machines remaster. |

Here in Europe Holy Diver was remastered and it sounds exactly the same as the normal CD...

I think the original US Holy Diver cd sounds great. It really doesn't need anything. But if you want the remaster, you can get the UK remaster that has the interview with Ronnie for about the price of a domestic cd at CD Universe. They have it for $11, I think.
I do think Last In Line through Dream Evil really need to be remastered. The ones after that all sound as good as they can, I think. Angry Machines has already been put out twice in the US, so another version doesn't seem likely. There probably isn't much demand for it anyway. |

| I hope not. Have you heard the Iron Maiden remasters? Modern-day remastering means jack the levels up, squash the dynamics, and over-boost the bass. I thought the Rainbow remasters sounded bad too. All the ambience and space was leached right out of the originals. |

 I would disagree with you there....I think this Remastered production is pretty good from Rock Candy,would love to see them buff, scrub & polish- The Last in Line. |

In my opinion, not the music itself needs remastering but the CD case, the booklet. In those form europe the whole outlook is very plain.

I don't understand you post...
If you are talking about the Holy Diver remastered cd...the cd case was just like any other...its a case...and the booklet was better than I thought it would be...16 pages...with original artwork and hand written lyrics by Ronnie,press cuttings,well worth the low price it was when released. |

So i guess we don't have the same CD on mind  My copy of Holy Diver doesn't have 16 hand-written pages  and no press cuttings. Those remaster you are talking about, under which label they came out? Are they available in all europe?

The remaster came out during 'An Evening with Dio'' Tour
RockCandy did the remaster...released 2005 also has interview with Ronnie on the cd.
Amazon UK has the cd. |

If they remaster anything, there must be some bonustracks on it, and not just an interview and no live tracks! I mean some unreleased studio tracks or some new...

I have found on one of the auction services "Dio - Magica" released by Nobel Price. Is it somekind of remaster or what? The cover differs form the Spitfire's, though.
