I had a killer time the other night in Lowell. I had previously given up hope of ever seeing Black Sabbath with Dio live but that all changed when I heard the good news almost a year ago. I missed Machine Head but I already saw them once before so it wasn't a big deal. Megadeth definately rocked and I was surprised to hear Take No Prisoners and Mechanix. The new songs were also fantastic. One guy didn't want to stand any longer so he gave me his wristband so I could get closer to the stage. I thanked him and the security guard for letting me in and I had a killer time. I know Ronnie saw my Ozzfest '97 hat but it wasn't who the hat represented, it was what it meant for me. I saw Ozzfest '97 10 years ago and I was simply marking the anniversary of 10 years of killer shows. Anyways, hearing The Sign of the Southern Cross and Falling off the Edge of the World were surprises for me. Other highlights were Die Young, Voodooo (I waited a long time to hear that one live!!), I, Shadow of the Wind, and that killer version of Heaven and Hell. I never saw Vinny Appice until that night and he was great, and his drum solo was fantastic as well. I waited a long time to see him live. I had already seen Dio solo 3 times but I had given up hope of seeing him in Sabbath until I saw it with my own two eyes. Ronnie is a fantastic vocalist and he's my favorite by far. Another highlight for me is that I've heard every song on Live Evil live by now and then some. I've already heard the Ozzy-era songs at multiple Ozzfests so there was absolutely no need to hear them there, I wanted the Dio-era songs and I still can't get enough of it. It was my 1st time seeing Vinny, my 7th time seeing Tony and Geezer, and my 4th time seeing Ronnie. That was a killer show and I left the show a very happy man. The traffic was really bad going out one way so I directed my brother down another route which got us out of Lowell a lot quicker than the other route which was backed up.

Thanks man. I thought about going to the Mohegan Sun show at first but I knew my way around Lowell better so I chose that show. I've never been to the Mohegan Sun, at least not yet. The Lowell show was fantastic. The best part about knowing your way around a city is knowing the alternate routes when the main routes are congested. I'm glad you also had a great time.

Yea, Awesome show! Mohegan Sun was the place to be...Great show and being able to meet the band and chat with them after the show was awesome. Anyone else part of that?
