| Got mine today....#3045.... Dio's take on the song "Black Sabbath" is sheer evil.. I agree with the reviews on this release so far. The band is on FIRE. |

I came home for lunch and what do I see sitting leaning up against my door ... Black SABBAAAAAATH.

Let's see if anyone here gets the 1st printing. Maybe we can shuffle some door prize. I have some gourmet popcorn. Peanut Butter and White Chocolate Drizzlecorn made by the infamous popcorn chef, Ed Doyle. Package expired Jan 31, 2007. I won it in a raffle on a Stateline bus trip this weekend. _________________ Smacks & Manly Thumps,

I did the same thing. I'll look at the number. I ordered mine a long time ago and got it yesterday. Country girl is by far my favorite track, but slipping away is tight. |

| Yup, the album is preety awesome, dio's rendition of war pigs blows the socks off ozzies. When he sings along to the end riff of warpigs, it's unbelievable how high his voice can get. |

The default one. It came from florida as well. I ordered it last week I think. That was pretty fast. I didn't expect it till next week.
Funny in that I live a few blocks from Rhino and the rest of the record bastards and thought about walking over and say HEY where's my CD. WB and WB Records are right next to me. _________________ Smacks & Manly Thumps,

Oh, okay, that's why you got yours so fast. I'm up near the top of the country, so that's why it might take longer. _________________ Gene Simmons says he came up with the heavy metal hand sign, but of course he invented breathing and shoes, too..-Ronnie James Dio |

I missed out and now it says at the Rhino site it's sold out, but it might be available elsewhere. Does anyone know where else I could get my hands on one? (except for an overpriced copy on E-bay, grrr) _________________ Bjorn

I'm really sorry that you were not able to get one. I do know that they most likely will not make more since it was limited to 5,000.
I hope you do find one! Maybe a fan bought an extra and will sell one to you at cost? |

Just got mine today! #2673
I popped the disc in as quickly as I could and I was blown away by the sheer improvements over the "shoddy" production of Live Evil.
Was Live Evil mixed that badly? Or is Live at hammersmith just mixed leaps and bounds better? I mean all the instruments sound more crisp and have a much bigger bang on Live at Hammersmith.
As for the song selection when compared to Live Evil. Gone is Sign of the Southern Cross, which to me is a letdown because although not my favorite Dio Sab tune, it's deserving of being in the setlist. In it's place we get Slipping Away and Country Girl. They also did away with that unnecessary track "Fluff" at the end.
Overall I think this is an excellent live release from the Sab camp. Now if they could just put that Live Evil concert footage onto a DVD, I would be an extremely happy camper!!!

I also love the strong fresh sound of the hammersmith. I beleive during the mixing of live evil, Dio would work in the day and Ommi and Geezer would work at night...and that they kept changing things over and over. I think the new live cd captures the sound of when I saw em in 1982. They were tight.
