Well I guess I better start from the beginning. My friends & I were all geared up for pre-sale of Heaven & Hell tickets & were surprised it was GA when they went on sale.
Meredith & I just wanted great seats & looked at the ticket scalpers who wanted $300 for EACH ticket plus $60 S/H charge. We ended up getting a good deal on Section 128 Row 3 off ebay.
Only paid $40 more than face value & surcharge. But we ended up seating front row on Tony's side...I guess the scalpers got stuck with their tickets!
I left my house at 1pm to drive to San Jose & got in the parking lot at 3:30 (Missed all the traffic). I walked around & handed out 25 cds of Black Sabbath Tokyo Nov.18,1980 show.
It's not an official release & who better to share with than other fans who go to the shows! I met a couple other people that remembered me from past concerts.
I asked people to write down their email so I could email them my link to me pictures. I really like sharing & talking to other fans. I love how music brings us all together!
My friend Bret called me & he was at Heaven & Hell's hotel in Palo Alto & managed to get a picture with Ronnie before they got on the bus. Then one of the staff came out, got Bret's stuff & got it all signed by the band!
I told Bret he should have called me & that I would've drove their too! I think I made him feel bad...because when he came up to me at the show he gave me a pair of Vinny's drumsticks! Another fellow fan I met at shows too & a hardcore fan at that!
I met Tim & his family/friends right before doors opened & got a pic of them. I met Tim at the DIO S.F. show 10/29/04.
After the head to toe, turn around search I made my way through the doors (You're holding the key, It opens the door, To let you be free - I Had my ticket!)
When I got in I went straight to the Merch booth!
I liked the Heaven & Hell angel & the Live Evil shirts the best, but had to get 'em all! (I got an extra shirt for my brother...we saw DIO together many times starting in 1984!)
My FAVORITE Metal Chick Meredith had to work & got to the show during Megadeth...Let me tell you about Meredith, She's in it for the music! I'm so glad we got to share this together!
It's funny too, because the 1st time I saw Meredith was at the aftershow for Dio @ the Fillmore,SF Nov.12,2002. We lined up & DIO was at a table. We'll Meredith & Kyle were the 1st ones in line & they were pretty wasted.
I'm sure you've seen drunk people trying to tell people how much they mean to them & stuff...it was pretty funny & I would've thought DIO would've blown them off. But Hell no! He talked to them & really listened to them.
Meredith & I really became friends when we were at the Iron Maiden Universal City 2004 shows. And we've been going to see some of the best bands together(DIO,Iron Maiden,Judas Priest, The Scorpions!!!).
I continued to meet other fans until show time. Machinehead put on a good set, but not really my bag. Megadeth was great! I loved the stage/setlist & the crowd went crazy for them!
I remember seeing Megadeth open for DIO on the Dream Evil Tour. Now I was really pumped up for some Dio era Sabbath! The lights went out & all you could see is the 3 windows with Live Evil's - Devils & Angel with E5150 playing.
Screams came from the crowd & they went into "After All (The Dead)...after the song DIO said OK, here's the fast one you were expecting & went into The Mob Rules! I still was hoping they'd start with that one.

After Children of the Sea, Dio went to see a poster someone made...I got a picture of the side about Megadeth.
I think on the other side it must have been asking for a Tony Iommi guitar pick...because DIO went to show Tony the poster & got some picks from him & handed them out to people. All night DIO was interacting with the crowd.
But at one point before Voodoo some guy threw up a shirt & of course DIO went to check it out...must of been some stupid shirt & had nothing to do with the music or showing love...
So DIO instead of doing a longer introduction of Voodoo just went into it.
Vinny Appice is such a great drummer & I loved how the drums on the side seem to look like they'd fall over when he beat on them!
Vinny is the best choice for DIO era Sabbath...I'm glad it worked in his favor. Vinny really enjoys playing! Tony had a great extended intro on Die Young (One of my all time favorite songs!).
Also Tony had an extended solo during Heaven & Hell. I think I could just watch Tony play for 2 hours! Yes he's that good! Geezer backing it all up with that mighty bass sound...I love it!
I was impressed be the whole show...the sound was great, the stage sets/changes fantastic!
I wasn't even expecting 2 hours of Sabbath either...but they started @ 9pm & only walked off stage for a few minutes before the encore Neon Knights & the show ended @ 11pm!
I managed to get backstage for the meet & greet after the show...
There was about 100 of us including Y & T, Ronny Munroe of Metal Church, & of course all the industry people who got passes...Meredith & I were lucky enough to blend in to get back there.
We went to a huge back room with tables & everyone sat down & waited for the band...a friend Lisa I met off myspace & her son got aftershow passes from some guy.
I had my sharpies,cameras, & stuff out & ready.
I enjoy taking pictures of the fans meeting bands they love & respect. I really wish I could do that as a career! Us fans talked & shared stories of past shows while we wanted.
First Vinny came out & talked to a few people & then made his way to our table. Every time I meet Vinny I always have tons of stuff for him to sign & he signed everything I put in front of him & took pictures with us.
Vinny made the rounds & then had to go & check on his equipment before the crew packed it up. Then Geezer & Tony came out together...more pictures & autographs with us fans.
I had a couple of 8 x10's & stuff I wanted to get signed for my friends, So I only got Tony & Geezer to sign 2 things for myself...But I'm glad I got the 8 x 10's of Mike & Patsy Kibby signed
(I've never met Mike or Patsy in person) , but have been friends because Dio's music brought us together), my friend Wolf who Vinny personalized it to & who I met at a Scorpions concert in Reno in 2004
Wolf also got me an autographed copy of "The DIO Years" @ the Best buy signing in NY! What comes around goes around!
My friend Mel gave my a promo poster for the DIO Years & I told him to give me an extra to try to get signed for him & I did!
Somebody came & had to take Tony & Geezer away...but I think they signed & took lots of pictures with us. Alot of people seem to have left...but I knew that Ronnie would come out for us.
Ronnie spends so much time with his fans & I don't know how anybody can get enough rest meeting all of us! He came out with a glass of wine & made met with each of us...he signed everything I asked him to.
Ronnie even made a comment on Wolf's 8 x 10 from the signing @ Best Buy...Dio said that right behind Wolf he could see Ernie's ear...Not sure who Ernie is...but I found that interesting. Ronnie is a class act all the way!
I hope he knows how much he means to us fans...It's not like I know him well or anything, but growing up listening to Rainbow & seeing him live all these years makes me feel like family & he sure treats us like that too!
There was four of us who left the aftershow last I think it was Stacy & ?, Meredith & I. It was 1:30am!
People I met at the after show...Rhonda & Hubby,Steven,Lisa,Stacy & ??????
Now I had the LONG tired drive to Los Angeles for the April 25th show!
Basically the last couple of days I've been on such a high from the shows that it took me a long time to sit down & focus on writing a review.
I really hope everyone that gave me their emails got my reply to them.
Lots of people remember me from shows...either giving out fresh cold fruit, cds, & just getting emails to share my concert pictures.
A lot of times people don't know how to take me...that's because the world we live in is not how it should be....
I'm gonna keep being myself & do what I can to make sure everyone has a good time!
It's just that some of my favorite people I've met going to shows & I'm always looking for those same type of people I guess.

This is Chris from Santa Cruz... You bought me a Priest ticket for a show in Marysville and I almost bought an Ozzfest ticket from you when Priest performed... you might remember.... I am on your email list. Thanks for emailing me your review and all those killer pictures!!!!!
I was @ the Heaven and Hell show @ H.P Pavillion and it was a killer show... Tony Iommi is a Legend.... They are all legends!!
The setlist, The stage show... almost everything was perfect!
I only wish H&H opened up with a more energenic song... I like "after all" but there are much better songs to open the show up with!
How do get all those meet and greet passes?????? Damn you're lucky!!!!!

I remember you, but I don't think we've ever met though...Am I wrong? Definitely looking forward to another Priest tour!!!
I basically emailed everyne off my hotmail contact list...I get so many peoples emails to share concert pictures I lost track of who's who...unless we become better friends & all that.
I love the internet, meeting other fans, sharing the experiences!
I didn't have an aftershow pass for the show... I managed to blend in with the crowd & fortunately made it back stage ... otherwise they would've booted me out before they took every one to the backstage area.
Where you able to get any pictures from the show? I know I would love to see them!

Also Lacuna Coil will be at Slim's June 1...I will be there!

I really like them! The show is only $16 with 3 other bands & "Within Temptation" sounds like they will be really good too.
