It is one of my favorite songs. I've heard they might have played it on top of the pops. Was it live or lip synched. Anyone know if they played it live or if there are any live versions available?
Was light in the black played after stargazer in the 1st few tours? |

Don't know about Rainbow, but Dio played it on Holy Diver Live, and I believe the year before too.

| Rainbow never performed Gates Of Babylon live. In fact the only tracks performed from Long Live Rock N' Roll were its title track, Kill The King and for a short time a small portion of L.A Connection (soon dropped). A shame really. |

| Oh and A Light In The Black was played after Stargazer on the Rising tour but like L.A Connection was soon dropped. It was replaced by Do You Close Your Eyes. I think it was because it was too tiring for Cozy Powell. I believe a few bootlegs exist with the song on. |
