Dokken are one of my favourite hard rock/heavy metal band ever.
Dokken's leader and front man is the great singer Don Dokken.
In Dokken played all these great musicians:

George Lynch - Guitar (1978–1988, 1993-1998)
Reb Beach - Guitar (1998–2001)
John Norum - Guitar (2002–2004)
Jeff Pilson - Bass (1981–1988, 1993-2002)
Juan Croucier - Bass (1978–1981)
Greg Leon - Guitar (1977-1979)
Peter Baltes - Bass(1977-1978)

Now, Dokken are formed by:
Don Dokken (vocalist), Jon Levin at the guitar, Barry Sparks at the bass and Mick Brown at the drums.

They're going on tour with the great hard rock band Kingdome Come both as headliner.
I'm going to see them in Rome the next 9th of October.
What do you think about Dokken? Personally, I love this band since I was born... Laughing

love them until "Beast from the East" then...downhill. Don Dokken's solo disc is also decent though.

DOKKEN and KINGDOM COME will team up for the "Defenders of Rock" double-headliner tour between September 26 and October 22. So far the following dates have been released:

Sep. 26 - Germany - Ludwigsburg - Rockfabrik
Sep. 29 - Hungary - Budapest - A38
Oct. 04 - Belgium - Vosselar - Biebob
Oct. 07 - UK – Maximes - Wigan, Z-Rock
Oct. 08 - Italy – Milano - Alcatraz
Oct. 09 - Italy – Roma - Circolo Degli Artisti
Oct. 19 – Denmark/Norway - Rock The Boat

Rhino Records last month revisited DOKKEN's early days with a pair of releases packed with unissued material. The first release, a CD entitled "From Conception: Live 1981", captures DOKKEN in an early, previously unseen concert recorded before the band signed with Elektra. The second release is the DVD debut of the band's first home video, the platinum-certified "Unchain the Night", which is expanded with unreleased videos and new extended interviews with the band.

DOKKEN is continuing work on its new album, "Lightning Strikes Again", tentatively due later in the year via Rhino Records in the U.S. and Frontiers Records in Europe. The follow-up to 2004's "Hell to Pay" will feature the lineup of Don Dokken (vocals), Jon Levin (guitar, ex-WARLOCK), Barry Sparks (bass, TED NUGENT, YNGWIE MALMSTEEN, MSG) and Mick Brown (drums).

"It will be a very heavy progressive record," Dokken recently told Deb Rao of KNAC.COM. "Just some cool songs, some dark songs, and some medium tempo. Some of the best work that I have done in years. I am not looking for any kind of sound. I am just writing whatever spiritual inspiration comes to me. You could say the sound is very heavy, like 'Kiss of Death'."

I have something that you would love! I need to put a picture in here of the last guitar project still so when i do i'll put one in here of this leather jacket i have that i had all of Dokken sign with a silver ink pen. I don't wear it anymore i keep it hanging in the stuDIO for safe keeping. It took a lot of investigative savvy to track them all down before and after the show but by the end of the night i got them all. Some at the bus some at the Hotel. Wink

diodreams: His voice is completely shot and just pales so much comapred to his older work. I own "Hell to Pay" and "Dysfunctional" both have a few decent songs on them, but nothing as good as "Tooth and Nail" or "Back for the Attack". Just bland rock, not even that great of guitar playing either.

There's a late night cartoon called Squidbillies where they did a bit talking about Dokken. One of the characters kept saying Dokken are evil, satanic, etc, and the other characters kept saying "but they have a whole new line-up." I've never gotten into Dokken and I wondered if the joke in the show was that the new members are wussies compared to past members, or what?

Kingdom Come and Dokken, it's an interesting show. I'm a Dokken fan since first eighties, and still enjoy listening them like the first day. I enjoy specially the Lynch times, one of the best harc rock axeman ever existed.
But Don voice on stage is the bad matter, sound weak and out of tune sometimes (lower mainly).
But I don't care on that, if Dokken comes back again to my city, i will be there another time.

Audio samples of three tracks from the forthcoming DOKKEN album, "Lightning Strikes Again" — "Heart Of Stone", "Point Of No Return" and "Standing On The Outside" — are available on the band’s revamped web site: www.dokken.net . The site also contains song samples from Don Dokken’s solo album, "Solitary" ("Green", "Everything" and "Never Forget"), which will be available exclusively at Don’a appearances as the opening act for QUEENSRŸCHE. The tour begins tonight in Colorado.

A brand new DOKKEN track, entitled "Oasis", is available for streaming on the band’s MySpace page: www.myspace.com/dokken1 . The song comes off "Lightning Strikes Again", which will be released this spring via Rhino Records in the U.S. and Frontiers Records in Europe. The follow-up to 2004’s "Hell to Pay" will feature the lineup of Don Dokken (vocals), Jon Levin (guitar, ex-WARLOCK), Barry Sparks (bass, TED NUGENT, YNGWIE MALMSTEEN, MSG) and Mick Brown (drums).

"It will be a very heavy progressive record," Dokken told Deb Rao of KNAC.COM earlier in the year. "Just some cool songs, some dark songs, and some medium tempo. Some of the best work that I have done in years. I am not looking for any kind of sound. I am just writing whatever spiritual inspiration comes to me. You could say the sound is very heavy, like ’Kiss of Death’."

Rhino Records in March 2007 revisited DOKKEN’s early days with a pair of releases packed with previously unissued material. The first release, a CD entitled "From Conception: Live 1981", captures DOKKEN in an early, previously unseen concert recorded before the band signed with Elektra. The second release is the DVD debut of the band’s first home video, the platinum-certified "Unchain the Night", which is expanded with unreleased videos and new extended interviews with the band.
