I appreciate what everybody is trying to do with getting Alice or KI$$ or Priest or Maiden or whoever inducted. A couple of years ago I would have been right there trying my best to get everybody to petition on their behalf.
But since then I have lost any remaining respect I ever had for that crappy institution. I almost like the fact that "my" favorites are being excluded. It's like trying to get into a stuck-up fraternity (not that all fraternities are stuck-up; not what I'm saying.) If you get in, is it really worth it.
There are incredible artists who have influenced countless others that will always be shunned by an "organized" institution. That doesn't negate any of their achievements in the least.
Screw the Rock 'N Roll Hall of Shame. They don't respect the genre of metal anyways. Look how long it took them to put Sabbath in.
Alice Cooper has written some very beautiful, funny, and clever lyrics; I think of him as a modern day Frank Zappa but not as "deep." Being inducted would only tarnish his image.
Let's face it- some people are too cool for clubs! _________________ Sit on it, Potsie. |

Kiss, Alice, and priest should be in, but not Maiden, really. _________________ Chase the horizons, catch the illusion

Well, this is the place for opinions. I respectfully disagree about Maiden. _________________ Sit on it, Potsie. |

In case anybody missed it, blabbermouth reported that Alice will not record the new album until next January. Hopefully, this is misinformation. _________________ Sit on it, Potsie. |

There's always a chance they messed up and looked at the proposed schedule for this year and reported it for next year....
I hope the tour is changed - I mean - I love Dirty Diamonds, but I've sen that tour, and watched the DVD that goes with it tons of times - I really don't want to see the same thing again... _________________ Along Came A Spider..... |

my hope, coop, is that they introduce the new songs into the setlist so that they have a great grasp on them live and then go into the studio and record with that live sound they used on DD. If that happens, should be one truly phenomenal record don't ya think?
Though, I would like it now _________________

I hope so. I would have thought that if all the material is written, it has a place in the setlist. Why write it otherwise? Just because it's not ona disc doesn't mean he can't play it. Look at Hawkwind - they performed tons of stuff onstage, and had to be begged to put it down on a studio album.
But I will be disappointed if it's the same show again - it's been touring for 2 years now. _________________ Along Came A Spider..... |

from waht I've read thay've compelted all the writting and it's just waiting for the damned producer...so they'll probably introduce a new setlist and the new songs on tour, you lucky person you getting to see him...
I mean, you gotta imagine Alice's sick of the same setlist for 2 years too ya know? _________________

I dunno - if you look at the setlists for this tour, a good few songs have changed as it's gone on - maybe that's how he gets around it.
Let's all be mindlessly optimistic and say that the delayed album info was wrong and that it'll all be good! _________________ Along Came A Spider..... |
