Holy Magica,
RUNNING my station "The Hard Rock Palace" on live 365 IS A HOBBY,I actually Pay out of my pocket to do this..
April is special for DIO fans... the new CD comes out,and it marks the 9th year of the passing of Cozy,I was fortunate to see him in 86 with ELP,and I simply wanted DIO fans here to help me pick out Cozy's best work for remembering him next month.

Det Park...my hat off to you...some of best radio stations...are from folks like yourself...I am very clincal of modern radio.
I don't know how many times...I have seen Cozy play...Whitesnake,MSG being the bands I saw him play in.

On March 1, 2007 the US Copyright Office stunned the Internet radio industry by releasing a ruling on performance royalty fees that are based exclusively on the number of people tuned into an Internet radio station, rather than on a portion of the station’s revenue. They discarded all evidence presented by webcasters about the potentially crippling effect on the industry of such a rate structure, and rubber-stamped the rates requested by the RIAA (Recording Industry Association of America).

Under this royalty structure, an Internet radio station with an average listenership of 1000 people would owe $134,000 in royalties during 2007 - plus $98,000 in back payments for 2006. In 2008 they would owe $171,000, and $220,000 in 2009

Det Park will this new ruling have an impact on yourself.

Holymagica,
From what live365 has relayed to us,Yes I assume I will,I started the station for FREE back in 2001.Then the costs began..and I stuck with it anyways.
It originally was called "Deep Purple and Beyond" focusing on what else DP,Rainbow Whitesnake and it's members solo projects and etc.
But changes in radio programming rules, song limitations pretty much forced me to expand the artists and songs genre etc.
But thanks for the compliments,I want most of all younger fans of DIO and Rainbow,Sabbath to know and hear other great music from the 1960s-2000s by the best artists (in my opinion) of Rock.

He was really the best, and not because I like him so!

I heard many different bands with his participation (don't look at me so, I live in Ukraine where Cozy isn't very popular person Crying or Very sad ) including early Jeff Beck, Donovan, Forcefield, Ace Kefford Stand, Bedlam... (I won't tell about Rainbow, Black Sabbath, ELP (my first Cozy's record!), Brian May...) he was really the best. no more words!

My friends and I, we also remembered Cozy on the 9th anniversary. We went to the British Embassy, put flowers, lit a candle and sang "Let It Be". Though Cozy isn't well-known person in Ukraine, we love and remember him!
