I'll cram all next week and see what I can come up with, I may already have a lot done that could be used because this new drummer i have is just getting started so there's a lot he hasn't even touched yet. _________________ GUITARGOD |

If we are going to do this, and it looks like we are, we will need a name to call the project. I like Bridge to Asgard, Since this is developing from The Dio Forum I think a reference to a Rainbow is appropriate. _________________ Check out Al Diamond Phillips/Nevermet on the web

ACtually those lyrics you wrote I'm now almost hearing a Bark at the Moon tempo thing - a real asskicker.
I'd love to write a couple guitar/bass basic tracks and email them to you for some lyrics and we could go from there. (Of course the guitar track would be further developed by GG as necessary). How's that drummer you got? Sounds like we have a band. PS: The singing was great on the last track I listened to. Check out my track Misused on my soundclick.com/daveraymer (or davidraymer if it's not that one) site for an idea of my bass playing. That's all me with an SR-16 drum machine. That song could use lyrics too if you're interested. _________________ Bass guitarists hold it all together. |

I believe the rock stuff is on daveraymer, and the blues stuff is on davidraymer (both on soundclick.)
PS: A Ship of Fools wouldn't sink, it would just probably get lost. _________________ Bass guitarists hold it all together. |

Heard the link. Rocker Bob rocks! Great drumming. Have to say I think Alativity is a better singer though. _________________ Bass guitarists hold it all together. |

This sounds like a bad ass venture! As for a name we could use whatever you guys want how about Penis and the puss pockets... or sling shots and dandelions.. or STEEL VAGINA!
Just kidding, I like Ship of fools or Bridge to Asgard or Bone chalice, stone chalice, Death throws... whatever you guys think.
We could do this several ways I'll start by doing some simple licks and then the same thing with a lead so you can use either one if the lead doesn't fit with an idea the vocals has then i can put in a lead after the vocals are on, what ever we want. So i'll make several versions of the same thing to start i guess..what do you guys think? And D-MAN Can start that riff he's talking about and we can run that at the same time too we could plan on one song for each person involved... RockerBob you in on this? I think you should be. _________________ GUITARGOD |

We'll do, i'll go into the studio tonight as soon as the old lady gets home and crack a bottle of wine and get to work. The wife says her PC is supposed to be able to convert to MP3 but she's never done it either, we'll figure it out, i just hope to get a good riff going with a good meter, i'm a feeling player so my meter is not as solid as it should be some times, so i beter go easy on the wine too. _________________ GUITARGOD |

I would say it would be easier to pretty much complete the song at your end, minus vocals and bass and drums (with a click track I guess). Then we can layer as we go. Of course we're stuck with your arrangement but I think that's the best way to go. If we start emailing around fragments and ideas it will never get finished.
The way to convert to MP3's is a free software called Musicmatch. If your computer doesn't already have it go get it. Then click on file, then convert. You can search for your WAV file and click GO. It works great and is simple. _________________ Bass guitarists hold it all together. |
