Hey, im new to this whole site, so forgive me for anything that may sound weird or unusual.

For starters, I am beyond a SHADOW OF A DOUBT, Ronnie James Dio's biggest fan. Im in love with the man. He's wonderful. I adore him, his music, his voice...his everything. I think my attachment to him came when my father died when I was seven. I remember Dio playing in the background of many of my childhood memories. My father was a big fan, and I now, carry that on.

I hear that he is going to be in New York on March 31. (maybe the 30th, its one of the two) Im very heartbroke. I live in Virginia, and there is NO way my mother is going to let me go. And because im only 16 and underage, there is just no hope for me at all. He is going to be on the east coast. I mean, this is HUGE. I wish so badly he would have a concert closer to my wherabouts.

Right now, in my 3rd block computer class, we are creating our own slide shows, and have to present them in class over a huge monitor in the front of the classroom. Mine, is on Dio. The background of my first 11 slides, is Dio's first 11 album covers. (Its awesome) I had no idea he was the only child of an immigrant family of the Italian heritage. Ive learned so much just researching him. He's fascinating. Im also, very impressed he graduated his Senior class president. That's awesome.

My boyfriend, had never heard of Dio before me. Now he wears the shirts just like me. I have the Holy Diver short sleeve, and he has The Last in Line longsleeve. I have MOST of his albums...shew, its so hard to find them. You know something that wonderful is going to be rare.

Alot of his lyrics, remind my of my personal life. Thoughts that run through my mind, that when I try to explain, fail me. I find the feeling in his words. Its wonderful. I have keychains, necklaces, an airbrushed shirt...I just love him so much. Sure, I know he's like 64 i think...but he is just GORGEOUS. No matter how old he got, he will be beautiful.

I can only pray he is still performing when I turn 18. I promise, NO MATTER WHERE HE IS....i WILL go see him. Because I LOVE Ronnie James Dio. <3

He had me from "Holy Diver"

glad to see another younger aged fan in here Wink

kinda sucks you can't see him live though! I missed my shot a few years ago and was kicking myself for years until I found out H&H was coming by and grabbed some pre-sale tickets to make sure I got in.

You'll get your oppurtunity, if H&H don't make it around there this year, they will either as H&H or Dio within the coming years I'd say.

That's so cool you younger fans appreciate him so much. I'm 45 and was in my heyday in bands in the 80's when he was at the top of his fame. Me and the guys in my band were always in awe of him and his voice and presence. I would definitely say the only person who can even come close is Klaus Meine of Scorpions. Compared to those two I think most rock singers sound like whining pussies!
But I think it's so cool you young fans realise how truly great he is. I'm sure he'll be around for a while, and you'll get your chance. Check out ebay for the records you don't have. Don't pay a fortune for the first one you see, they'll come around cheaper. Also check out used record stores as much as you can. Vinyl rules!

I think the newer stuff that comes out..[[SUCKS worse than the suckiest suck that ever sucked.]] The new "punk rock" bands thats come out, do nothing but whine. And i dont like techno crap either. I truly appreciate the older BETTER bands. Led Zepplin, >>DIO<<, Pink Floyd, Pearl Jam, Alice in Chains, Tesla..what happened? Those bands were MEN. Now we have BOYS crying into a mic. Its horrible. When the topic of music comes out, like NONE of my friends have even heard of this stuff. Its a major difference. No one my age even knew these wonderful singers/bands even went down in the history of rock. I mean come on, how can you NOT KNOW????
Shew, Dio has my heart. Im loyal to him as my absolute favorite... As a matter of fact, I just wore my Holy Diver shirt today. Gah, it would be a dream come true, just to meet him. I would GLADLY settle for a concert, and be tickled as can be, but meeting him. Ahh, I can dream cant I?? He doesnt even know how truly amazing I think he is. His intelligence, and talent...shew...I swear, I get all dreamy...and he's like 60 something. (64 I think) He will never get too old for me. I'd marry him today. =)
Anyways, once again, Ive rambled on about my love for the greatest man in the History of Rock and Roll....(btw, I love that song)

Thanks for being so kind..
You have no idea how just TALKING with other Dio fans, helps me ease my need of him...lol...after all, with all my loser friends, I cant discuss my love, and admiration for him ANYWHERE!

There is a scheduled concert in Baltimore, Maryland on May 18, 2007.

Perhaps, your mother would be willing to make that short trip?

Check this site's official tour page for venue information.

First of all, welcome here, i<3Dio!

I have a similar problem... I'm 16 and I'm from Italy, and I can't see Heaven And Hell because they play far from here (I live in Rome and they play in Milan)... so I can perfectly understand you and I really hope you'll have the possibility of going to a concert of Ronnie James Dio very soon!!!

You Rock,
Magic!

I don't think you are wierd for imagining these things...sometimes when life is rough, the only way I can fall asleep is to take my mind on a journey...the only one that keeps my mind from wandering is going to a Dio concert and going backstage. I imagine just talking to him as well. Before I know it, I'm asleep and I didn't spend hours laying there worrying about my 15 y/o daughter.

I too have loved RJD since I was about 12, and when I got to meet him for the first time about 9 years ago, words just can't describe what it meant to me. I hope I get to meet him again to thank him, and I truely hope you two, Reem and i<3Dio, get to meet him as well. Here's a picture from that night for those who haven't seen them yet...Hey, why not make it my avitar again Very Happy

Oh you don't know DioDreams,i even imagine singing with him,and on"stargazer" i imagine myself building a tower of stong, and on"Holy diver"i imagine riding on a tiger. sometimes i imagine that i'm kidnapped by a Dio freak(though Dio freaks don't do that I AM ONE) and the only way i will be saved is by Dio to come and talk to the guy,and so on.....there is just so much imagiing i won't stop if i want to tell you everything.
