Strange Highways, Why was it forgotten among Dio albums
I never hear about it, unless it's something negative.
I;ve had that album 14 days, and listened to it for 13 days.

| Well, I happen to think that Strange Highways is an excellent album. Hell, I think all the Dio albums are great. Strange Highways was something new and fresh, which IMO was good. Nothing is wrong with the album. |

One of my favorite Dio records. It has all the elements of great heavy metal. Fresh and new indeed, #75Race!
Too bad so many people are such crybabies over it. Thank God Ronnie didn't just keep remaking Last In Line, or Holy Diver.

| the way i see it is that the metal world was changing back when strange highways was released and ronnie, like any other good musician, tried to change with the times. i think this album is one of his best. songs like jesus, mary and the holy ghost and bring down the rain are some of his heaviest. Also, this record features what i consider to be some of ronnie's most passionate vocal performances. And let's not forget vinny pounding the shit out his drums on this album as well. A forgotten masterpiece in an overlooked career. |

I thought Simon drummed on SH and Vinny returned for Angry Machines. Is that not right? |

Well, I like the album, but only when I am in the mood for it. And mostly I'm not in the mood for this album, but if I am, I really like it. _________________ You're Breathless, ready to burn

I think I'm always in the mood for the album.

That's one badass GnR song. Maybe my all time favorite of theirs. |

Most Dio fans don't like this album because Tracy G played the guitar on it. I think that's a load of crap though. This album is one of the best that Dio made, along with LUTW. The guitar work is so impressive and unique, and it was a welcome change from the old Dio/Campbell style.
I am a hardcore Dio fan as much as anyone else in this forum. I love all Dio albums, but I find myself listening to this one the most. |

| I love the album. It has a Dehumanizer feel to it. Ronnie sounded plain old angry and powerful. He took it a step further on Angry Machines and for 6 long years he in sung in concert with a vengeance (1992-1998). |
