No need to sign up, have a profile, or anything...it's a good tune...can't wait to hear it on the 30th LIVE and in PERSON at the Radio City Music Hall! |
Why is it so short (4:19)? The full song is 6:00 in length. Also the sound is very different from the official stream version. |

Pretty cool riff. Would fit nicely on Dehumanizer, but maybe not Heaven and Hell or Mob Rules.

I think it's the 'single' version. _________________ Calcitra Clunis |

It is a Good Song, I Like it. , and I have listened to it just once.
It has the Tempo from Black Sabbath (Bass and Drums), Dehumanizer IS a GREAT Album.
I has something new, it is not exacly DIO, or Black Sabbath, it would not have been fair to create the same kind of Music just with a Different Name, isn't it? |

Starts off crap then it gets awesome as it progresses!
It sounds like Dehumanizer meets Master of The Moon with a taint of magica.
Any Chance the full version could be put up? |

just what I was afraid of...one word...boring. I like the guitar solos, but that's it. Seems to drag on and on forever. I like RJD's vocals but there are tons of DIO songs like that, go for MotM, LutW mid section, etc. Has even been done heavier and more dragging, Strange Highways anyone?
I wanted to finally see DIO live and I could make the German date, but I feel reluctant to pay for 90 mins of boredom with the few good Sabs tracks thrown in.
Sorry for the rant, just my opinion of course!
Everybody to themselves.

I've heard this song a few times now, and I can't say I like this song so much either. Not a bad song, but not really good either. _________________ You're Breathless, ready to burn

Of course I should have added "IMO"
[Edit: actually I just realized that I did say that...]
I will prolly watch them live anyway, simply to see Dio live |

This song is very good.It gets better and better teach time i listen to it.Have beeen listening to the 3 new songs all day.To me it sounds like DIO wrote The Devil Cried & Shadow Of The Wind.almost 100 % sure...They were probably meant to be on his next album or maybe on Magica 2.I think these 2 songs are the best of the new,but im not sure if it was right to give them to sabbath..But its good that we got to hear them now instead of waiting several years for Magica 2.At least Iommi did some cool lead/solo parts.Ear In The Wall could be a DIO song as well, but the guitar playing shows that Iommi had a lot to do with this song. The lyrics are both interesting and funny. But its not the first time DIO wrote about paraniod people..
But to get a little back on topic..The Devil Cried..It Rocks!! The more you listen to it the better it gets,The vocals are super.
If you cant hear it maybe you were born before your god invented ears..
If Dio already had completed the story and songs of Magica part 2 he is surly missing one of them now.Thats the only thing i dont like about this project.More people are probably coming to the shows now and both he and sabbath will sell more records
For the TRUE DIO fans its best for DIO to stay in DIO,that way we (the fans) can enjoy DIO preforming songs from both DIO & sabbath and even Rainbow. |

the devil cryied
I havent had a chance to listen to the song. Only read the lyrics.
What type of crying did he do? cry of joy, laughter, pain etc. When did he cry?
How could the Devil send some one in Hell back to glory? What is the interpretation of the song? Its message.
Is the "Devil" refering to someone in power in politics? or a social issue? |
