I thought I'd start a topic about the Scorpions, since I haven't seen any yet. What do people here think of this band? I know of SOMEONE here who doesn't like them for some reason, but they're one of my favorite bands. What does everybody else think?

I was blown away when heard "The Zoo" for
the first time. But could easily go forever with
out ever hearing RYLAH. It was just so overplayed
on radio back in the 80's. Confused

I've always been a big Scorpions fan love that stuff and one of the top bands to see live IMO. Wink

scorpions are one of my favourites too. i once heard Dio comment on Rock you like a hurricane and he said that it's almost the perfect song. i've been listening to them since i was a young child.

My brother is a really big fan of them. I like some songs of them, but that's it.

i saw them with dio and deep purple and agree they are
one of the best live bands out there !! klause , i think that's
how you spell his name , can sing his ass off live !!
i was amazed how good he sounded live !! one thing with
singers is you never truely know how good they are untill
you see them do it live !! Shocked

I am not their biggest fan as their recent albums were... how can i describe them ? Not hard rock actually, too soft or something like that Confused

But Unbreakable was something different, something that brought to the memories of people old good days when they were actually singing Hard Rock.

Of course i don't deny that they are one of the most important bands in the history of rock, but i really like to ROCK, if you know what i mean and i can't find that power in their songs (there are some exceptions of course)

According to a posting on the web site of the official SCORPIONS French fan club Crazyscorps, the German hard rock veterans have set "Humanity - Hour 1" as the title of their new album, due in Europe on May 14 via BMG. Check out the new CD artwork at www.crazyscorps.com.

Loved 'em back with their first couple of releases.
Great band, great sound.
They STILL sound good after all these years, though I haven't kept up with any new stuff.

The new stuff is good, they slowed down a touch for a while but that last one Unbrealable was right back there again long CD with some really good tracks on it. Wink

They are still one of the best rock and roll bands around. I have seen them several times in concert and every show is just good as the previous one.

Last time I saw them was about two years ago with UFO (they rule!), Tesla and one other band. What really surprised me was how good of shape these guys were in! UFO and the Scorps, I mean. They were all looking fit, trim and buff. Since I'm a girl I appreciate this kind of thing, you know? Very Happy

Seriously, all three bands were great with the audience and put on a terrific show. I can't wait for them to come to central Texas again.
