|
|
On Wednesday, January 17, Artisan News conducted a
short interview with legendary heavy metal singer
Ronnie James Dio about HEAVEN AND HELL ? the new band
featuring Dio alongside original BLACK SABBATH members
Iommi and Geezer Butler, plus drummer Vinny Appice
(DIO, BLACK SABBATH).
On the name HEAVEN AND HELL:
Ronnie: "They're gonna call us SABBATH anyway. It
doesn't really matter. We can call it HEAVEN AND HELL
or the BOYS ON THE BLOCK. It doesn't matter. That's
what we were, that's what we always will be. I think
they're trying to make a definitive line between them
being inducted into the Hall Of Fame. It kind of ended
that era again. They've been doing Ozzfest for the
last four or five years. So now it's something a bit
more fresh. It's still the same band we were when we
were SABBATH with Ronnie Dio. We're back again. The
name doesn't matter really. Everyone's still gonna
think it's just what we were, SABBATH with Ronnie."
On whether it was good to work with his old SABBATH
mates:
Ronnie: "Absolutely. Absolutely, it's gonna be a joy.
They're such monsters, and they're such bashers. From
Vinny to Tony to Geezer and to me, we only think about
one thing, 'Check this out!,' but then we do the nice
thing like 'Children of the Sea' and 'Sign of the
Southern Cross'. It's gonna be a great show with songs
that people deserve to hear again and we deserve to
play again." _________________ Calcitra Clunis |

Support acts for the tour will definitely be Down and Megadeth.
In order to ensure tickets to any of the announced Canadian and US show create an accout on the following website:

This is a link to the presale site for Heaven & Hell tickets.
Tickets will be limited to 6 per person. |

I don't know these venues....but I am reading from other folks its standing room in some of these places...and if thats the same as it UK....it does not matter where you are...you just got to be early at venue before doors open and get yourself a place down at the front.. |

I was actually scared of being crushed to death on a wooden barrier at Caines in San Diego, and almost drug to the floor by a bunch of psycho freaks at a show at 4th and B, also in San Diego, so I wouldn't drive over 15 hours to do that, but if it were close enough I'd go...and get up front.
F it...at this point I'll go thru anything to see this show.
But what I am banking on is a great seat...then stand of course!! There tends to be security at those shows who make sure that anyone trying to crash the stage or is out of control in a dangerous way gets taken out. _________________ "...you were a fool but that's cool, it's alright!" |

Well I looked at the tickets and all the shows in Canada are general admission, i.e. fighting for the front. All I can say is shit shit shit shit and more shit!!
I was actually going to go to one of these shows, but will now have to wait till they start their U.S. tour and pray that nothing stops that from happening.
I am happy for all of you that like general admission though .... _________________ "...you were a fool but that's cool, it's alright!" |

Ruth, it's either "Heaven" or "Hell"
Those are two of the presale passwords for the Edm, Calgary, Vancouver and Winnipeg shows. |

HEAVEN AND HELL's sole U.S. concert this spring, which is scheduled for March 30 at the Radio City Music Hall in New York City, has officially sold out less than two hours after tickets went on sale this morning (at 10:00 a.m.).

Actually the front row tickets in canada are behind the floor, so they aren't great seats, IMO.
As far as Radio City Music Hall, I can't find seats worth the flight...I'd have to get so wasted to fly but would if it meant front row, smack dab in the middle. I would spend a thousand bucks for those tickets...I've been waiting for this since I was 12 years old...
Looks like I will be waiting a little longer . _________________ "...you were a fool but that's cool, it's alright!" |
