I am with Remorseless on this....Rainbow with JLT ....I would rather have Graham Bonnet before JLT anyday...if we could not have Ronnie.
Btw...I have seen Rainbow twice with JLT....nothing against the man...and he was great every time...I saw him. |

well, it was just a thought. But you're right that Ronnie is the real voice of Rainbow. But anyway, if Ronnie doesn't want it, and Ritchie does want to ressurect Rainbow again, then I'd like to see JLT. But I agree that Ronnie must be first choice. _________________ You're Breathless, ready to burn

| The sad truth of the matter is Ronnie does want it, but Richie blackmore dos'ent so Ronnie has given up on the idea and says he dos'ent want it. In fact if a rainbow re-union ever happened richie has said it would be post dio rainbow because this era had far more fans than the dio era, which sadly is true. |

There was a time both Ritchie and Ronnie wanted to reform Rainbow if only for one concert. Ronnie has admittedly tried at working with Ritchie since and unfortunately failed. Candy and her mother impede all efforts at Ritchie returning to hard rock. His new release, Winter Carols, is another new career low.
I hadn’t read Ritchie comment on reforming a post-Dio lineup. Rainbow AD played larger venues because they released commercialized rubbish that received airplay. Ronnie is better known today. The legitimate Rainbow lineup would have both greater validity and more fans.
If Ritchie ever resurrected Rainbow with the Repulsive Runt then I would lose what little respect I have left for him. The Difficult to Cure tour was surprisingly good in spite of JLT. The Straight Between the Eyes tour was absolutely humiliating and JLT was unbearably annoying. _________________ The Legendary Remorseless Crusader Almighty

| There probably will never be a Rainbow reunion. RB is content with his "retirement home" band, wear tights, dance with merry minstrels, and perform watered down versions of Rainbow & DP songs. HAIL HEAVEN & HELL (insert horns here) |

I think that Dio-Rainbow was one of the greatest bands ever but unfortunately they split before I was born.....so I'll have to go with a Rainbow reunion.
However I wouldn't mind if the JLT lineup reformed because they did make some good songs and it'd be the next best thing. |

I say Heaven and Hell tour.
Dio and Iommi have got to be the best combination ever seen by rock. HEard Dio sing Iron Man on Live Evil,,,, _________________ Chase the horizons, catch the illusion

I dig Graham, but the problem with him was that he wasn't a great live performer. The band didn't really shift styles or sounds when it went from Graham to JLT, they just upgraded their live show. |

What I love most of all is Black Sabbath with Dio and Appicy. Nothing beats the mighty MOB RULES album! Heaven and Hell had some great songs too, of course. Neon Knights, Children Of The Sea, title track and Dio young. But Mob Rules is perfect from start to finish, not one single weak spot and one helluva heavy production. Dio himself sounds soooooo good and confident on this.
And speaking of confidence, Dio seems to have gained a LOT since he joined Heaven and Hell. He seems to be back in form, both when it comes to the way he talks about himself, all the mystery surrounding him, but also his vocal performance, which is soooo good on the new years eve gig. I no longer feel he's about to give up, like I've done the last few years. And that is, of course, a GREAT thing! |
