Yes, you're right about that. magica is one whole masterpiece, that makes it the best DIO album, in my opinion.

Ok dudes we are leaving out some good songs here like on Strange Highways-PAIN kicks ass also on Carolina County Ball-Rock n Chair Rock n Roll Blues now that is a masterpiece I am glad someone did mention Temple of the King as well.Let us not forget for Angry Machines-Stay out of my mind,Hunter of the Heart and Institiuional Man!!!!Long live Rock nRoll-title song,Lady of the Lake and the haunting Rainbow Eyes, Master of the Moon-of course the masterpiece is THE EYES,One more for the Road and I AM!!!!Lock up the wolves-title song and Why are they watching me!!!also Walk on Water My favorite for Sacred Heart-Shoot Shoot,For Killing the Dragon-Scream and Better in the Dark!!!! I guess I said that there didn't have to be a masterpiece on every album...I can't come up with one for SH, and IMO, Shoot Shoot is, well, less than tolerable. Not his vocals but the lyrics. Rocking Chair R&R Blues is great. I think there are quite a few masterpieces from Elf.
I guess my point to this thread was that someone said they wanted a new Dio album instead of a H&H tour because we may miss out on a new masterpiece. Not owning every album yet, I wanted to know what people thought the masterpieces were.
Thank you for all the input. It really is all in the ear of the beholder now isn't it?
