I've seen Motorhead a number of times,My husband and I spent the day after our wedding with the boys.
when we got to the venue we learned that our names never made
the guest list like we should have,Don and I were discussing what to do about our problem when Phil Campbell over heard us and took us back to talk to their tour manager,we explained what happen,he told us not to worry we were taken care of. As it turns out the not only covered our tickets but gave me a T-shirt and signed my SDF boxset lid for my birthday. I will never forget that night! _________________

Loudest band I've ever heard. I saw them and Dio open up for Iron Maiden in 2003, and even though I wore ear plugs, it was still almost a painful volume when Motorhead were playing.
I wish they toured in the US more. They're new cd is really fantastic. |

Saw Motorhead at the heavy Metal Holocaust 81 Port Vale,England. 40,000 people were deafened by 128000 watts of power.Ozzy osbourne with Randy was supporting amongst others.I was on the floor a lot of the time half conscious thanks to Carlsberg special brew but I do remember being trampled on when Ozzy took the stage, happy days! _________________ The trouble with the rat race is that even if you win you are still a rat.

BBC 6 Music will be playing a classic MOTÖRHEAD set this very Wednesday night as their main feature as part of an Anti-Valentine-themed show.
The live tracks will go out at around 00.25am (Wednesday night/Thurday morning). Check out their web site at this location.

MOTÖRHEAD is among the first confirmed bands for PULP frontman Jarvis Cocker's Meltdown festival, which will take place on the London South Bank in June. Also scheduled to appear are IGGY & THE STOOGES, THE JESUS AND MARY CHAIN and THE 13TH FLOOR ELEVATORS.
Cocker told The Observer: "It's pretty amazing to be able to programme a whole week like this, to get some of your heroes on and get to meet those people as well. Obviously it's a slight ego trip for me. I'm very proud to be able to present it, but I don't want it to just be all me, me, me; 'This is what I like'. I really want to find ways of getting the audience as involved as I possibly can.
"Some of it is my favourite things, or things that have had a formative effect on me. At the moment I'm interested in quite loud things. Meltdown starts off with MOTÖRHEAD, something people probably wouldn't associate with me. The first concert I ever played with PULP was in Rotherham in July 1980. We didn't have many songs of our own so we covered a MOTÖRHEAD cover version of a Motown song called 'Leaving Here'."
Tickets for Meltdown go on sale on Thursday at 9:00 a.m. |

Saw them at The Foo Fighters Hyde Park concert last June and even though they didn't seem as noisy because they were outdoors they put on a brilliant show.
Lemmy really could be nothing else but a rockstar and with Motorhead you know exactly what you're getting; straight ahead hard rock. Absolotely amazing band.
"We are Motorhead & we play f*kin' rock 'n' roll" best opener to a concert ever |
