Right now, I just LOVE:

OVERLOVE

Man, this song has some strong deep lyrics I can identify with! Right now it's my favourite DIO song... Did he ever do it live??? Any recordings of it???

I don't mind to hear any of those songs live. I'd rather see some new material played live.

Just saw all time favourites like "Kill The King", "Naked In The Rain" and "I" on the New Years show in Bulgaria for the first time (out of three shows up to now). Thanks to the Band! We all know everything sounds great when Dio sings it, but Magica is so much more than just an album. And "This Is Your Life" is so much more than a song to me... Hopefully next time!

16th Century Greensleeves is brilliant but the song I'd love Dio is to play is Hungry For Heaven!

Wonder what this set list will look like...?!?!?

As when Ronnie performed as 'Dio' you expected a big does of Holy Diver, Last in Line, etc.. and of course the songs Heaven and Hell, Mob Rules etc...
But now with Tony and Geezer, will he play any of the 'Dio' stuff (Holy Diver, Last in Line, the songs...or anything along those lines)

I would think they would have to right?!?!?!? Even if they played ALL of Heaven and Hell and ALL of Mob Rules (the albums) and a few 'new' tunes that is only an hour and a half show or so. And i doubt they would play those albums in their entierty...

Anyone have an idea??? a guess???

actually i guess we will have a set list long before the New York City show..... the one i am going to..

guess i am just thinking out loud...

You've forgotten about Dehumanizer, their reunion album in '92.
The Dio Years is about 80 mins and I'm sure they'll play everything on that and then once they've added guitar/drum solos and extended some of the songs (most notably H&H), they'll only be time to add something like SOTSC and/or Computer God. My guess is that will be the set.
I'd much rather no Dio songs were played and besides it's been said they'll play only Dio-Sabbath songs.

There is nothing better then hearing DON'T TALK TO STRANGERS.
Yes I have heard it at about every show I have seen. That would Be from the Last in Line tour and every tour in the USA since. But when that starts to play and your eyes close and head tilts back and his singing is mesmerizing. I can and want to hear it every time. Now that is DIO at its best Thank you my brother.

I think Evil or divine is one of the best live dvds by Dio, and as I read that Doug Aldrich will be playing during the forthcoming (Nov-Dec 2009) tour, I would like to hear a similar set with some changes. I'd like to hear some tracks from the Sacred heart album such as Sacred heart, Fallen angels, Shoot shoot, and even Hungry for heaven (an explanation follows). In addition, some less played tracks from The last in line including One night in the city and Breathless would be cool. And (this might go on for a while) All the fools sailed away from Dream evil, and...
The reason for this is that the first albums I ever bought were Holy diver and The last in line which I simply loved. When Sacred heart came out it was a huge disappointment and I didn't listen to it much. I particularly didn't like the excessive keyboards. e.g. on Hungry for heaven and the guitar sound was a bit dry. But there is a happy end to all this, I recently (when going through Dio albums for the show in December) found Sacred heart again, and noticed it is a fantastic album. And as I haven't played it soooo much I actually find it, well, like a new previously unreleased album.
And finally, I saw Heaven and hell last summer, and dispite the fact that Children of the sea is perhaps in TOP1 of songs all time, I'd like Dio to stick with Dio songs this time. Well, at least most of the time, please.

Looking forward to the show in December!
