I never liked Turn Up The Night, but It's grown on me. Basically everything on Angry Machines except for Institutional Man, Hunter Of The Heart & This Is Your Life. I hate Anrgy Machines with a passion never before known.

The first time I heard Sunset Superman i didn't like it at all, i thought that the chorus was a bit annoying....but after a few rounds in the cd player i love it, chorus and all Smile

From the Rainbow era i HATE If you dont like rock & roll.....ugh, its just nauseating.....sorry Ronnie Laughing

Shoot shoot has a horrible and hilarious chorus, i mean shoot shoot Question I know ronnie probably rushed this song, cause he can do a lot better.

Oh, and i've also warmed up to do You Close Your Eyes, now i love it! I guess I change my mind easily Very Happy

Adios, viva Guatemala Twisted Evil

Shame On The Night is fantastic.

And yet, Bildo makes me laugh again...

Yes, that song rocks..."for places I've been, and what I've seen, for giving me the strangest dreams....and never never let me know just what they mean...." Damn that's good stuff.

I just heard Shotgun Boogie by Elf and changed it quick... Shocked Mad

I LOVE Shotgun Boogie!!! Shame on You!!! Very Happy

No, Shame on the sun and you, shame on the night!! LOL.
I will, for you, listen to it again...maybe it will grow on me...however, I just listened to Sacred Heart and I can't say that there is one song on that cd that I like. Shoot Shoot is freaking rediculous...I'm sorry Ronnie...I can say that I actually do worship the ground he walks on, but this is so weak. The entire album has a cheesy sound to it and I was really dumbfounded when I heard Shoot Shoot. I will listen to it more and maybe it will grow on me, but I doubt it...God I hope this isn't his favorite album....he doesn't read this stuff does he...

I am going to see when that album came out because I'm curious why it's so bad....at least IMO. I still need to get a few more, but MOTM is really great, so I know Dio still can put out great music.
It leaves me wondering what we have in store with a new album...by the time it comes out, it will be at least 3 years in the making, so I have high hopes.

Anyway, I will never warm up to Shoot Shoot. I mean,

"You know you can be free forever
So the next time someone
Points a gun at you say
Shoot Shoot
I don't care
Shoot Shoot
Shoot Shoot
Anywhere (does this mean like,"go ahead, shoot me in the knee or foot or head, I don't care!?)
Shoot Shoot"

Thank God there is so much RJD music to love that something like this doesn't even put a dent in his legacy.

I really like Sacred Heart - Shoot Shoot is weak, but the majority of the rest is great I think.

The title track is one of my favourite Dio songs ever - I love his vocals on that track - such power and control at the same time - I think it's one of his best vocal performances in his career.

Let me listen to it a few more times and I'll let you know if any of it has grown on me.

With any RJD music, I generally like it immediately. I've bought a lot of cd's in the last month and as soon as I hear them, I'm like, "yeah, this rocks!" Not with Sacred Heart though. I mean I was laughing my ass off when I heard Shoot Shoot.

I will keep listening to it to see if I can hear what you all are hearing...

sometimes I wonder why I bought Sacred Heart. I never listen to that album.
I listen to all the Dio album very often, but from the sacred heart album I only listen to three songs or so, on my computer. I never put the cd in my radio and listen to it. But when I look at the list of songs, it isn't a very bad album at all, I'm just never in the mood for Sacred Heart.
The same with Angry machines, the only difference is that when I look at the tracklist, it is a very bad album. Wink

Shoot Shoot is pretty bad. So is Rock N' Roll Children. I don't care much for the title track either. Makes me want to pull out a d20 and check for initiative.

...I like Rock & Roll Children...It should have received more airplay...that's why it was written I would guess... Idea ...Vivian keeps saying nowadays that Def Leppard is a POP band...I wonder if this song was effected by that premise?...& I agree with whoever said earlier that Shoot Shoot is a good song...if the chorus was omitted... Idea
