He has other qualities that are more important than the kind of music he's into, however I do wish he was into what I am...it would be a bit more fun because music is a huge part of my life...always has been.

But yes, I married a Hagar fan.

Van Halen are a joke now. Michael Anthony was replaced by EVH's son Wolfie.
...why would you say that Agent?...I know I hope to hear something from the VH camp & Roth together again...Granted it would seem silly if Roth got on stage at this point & acted like he was still some sort of Gigolo... Laughing ...So I hope that they put their heads together & create some serious music!...also I would be thrilled to see Eddie & Wolf jam together... Idea

EVH is a bitter prick who's just pissed at Michael Anthony for breaking ranks and playing with Sammy Hagar after Hagar left VH for the last time. Michael wanted to actually go do something rather than sit around doing nothing, just because the VH brothers hold everything up.

If they get Roth back, I'd be interested in the thing, even with Wolfie. But it will look ridiculous with three 50 year old guys on stage and one kid who isn't old enough to get his drivers license. It should be all four original members, and if they can't get that together, they shouldn't bother.

Quite agreed.

Although I believe Sammy Hagar's a better singer than DLR, I'd love to see the original members come together and record some new stuff.. which are as qualified as the old songs of course.

...Completely DISAGREE!!!...I think it would be Fascinating to see EVH's son stand in for Michael at only 15!... Shocked ...Anthony's voice as the background vocals however was a major factor in the sound of VH...but I would just be happy to see Eddie jam again with Roth at the Helm... Very Happy

What in the hell would be fascinating about that? There have been enough VH cover bands. We really don't need another one.

In my opinion,it's no different that The Who without John Entwistle. It just isn't the same.It would be like Ringo and Paul hiring two 20 year olds and calling it "The Beatles" reunion tour.Seventy five percent isn't a reunion,Eddie's kid or not.

One thing I have not heard mentioned..Do you honestly think Valerie is going to allow her minor child toundertake that sort of thing peacefully? I doubt it considering Roth's and Eddie's reputations as party boys.

If it does happen,it probably won't last long.....

BLABBERMOUTH.NET can reveal that Rhino Records has set a March 13 release date for VAN HALEN's "Best Of (1978-1984)", the first single-disc compilation exclusively spotlighting 1978-1984, the group's original David Lee Roth era. The album, which coincides with VAN HALEN's March 2007 induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, contains over an hour of remastered classics from the albums "Van Halen", "Van Halen II", "Women And Children First", "Fair Warning", "Diver Down", and "1984". Highlights include "Runnin' With The Devil", "Ain't Talkin' 'Bout Love", and "And The Cradle Rock". Also featured are "Everybody Wants Some", "So This Is Love" and "Oh, Pretty Woman". The CD booklet will contain rarely seen photos and liner notes.

"Best Of (1978-1984)" tentative track listing:

01. Runnin' With The Devil
02. Eruption
03. You Really Got Me
04. Ain't Talkin' 'Bout Love
05. Jamie's Cryin'
06. Dance The Night Away
07. Somebody Get Me A Doctor
08. Beatuiful Girls
09. And The Cradle Will Rock
10. Everybody Wants Some
11. Mean Street
12. Unchained
13. So This Is Love?
14. Where Have All The Good Times Gone
15. Oh, Pretty Woman
16. Dancing In The Street
17. Jump
18. Panama
19. Hot For Teacher

According to MelodicRock.com, VAN HALEN — featuring David Lee Roth on vocals — will likely play two dates in Las Vegas at The Pearl at The Palms Casino on April 27-28 before kicking off a full North American tour sometime late spring. A list of 17 VAN HALEN tour dates was posted online over the weekend, but those are now said to be "merely a proposed itinerary/routing that is no longer valid," according to the site.

Billboard.com reported last week that a deal was nearly done for VAN HALEN to embark on a summer tour that would include 40 amphitheatre shows.

Guitarist Eddie Van Halen recently told Rolling Stone, "Everything is up in the air. We don't want to say anything prematurely," hinting that VAN HALEN would tour this summer whether David Lee Roth was the singer or not.

The band now includes Eddie's son Wolfgang on bass, replacing original bass player Michael Anthony.

I tend to agree with the opinion that a VH without MA is not VH.

VH were also 100% better with SH than with DLR!!!

I was at MoR in '84, and the VH set was all about DLR's ballerina skills, EVH, AVH and MA were pushed to the edges of the stage. Even EVH's solo was muted.

CRAP!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Bring back SH & MA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Cool

I'd go see VH with Roth on vocals if they were near me, kinda sad that MA wouldn't be there, but wouldn't pass up the oppurtunity to see Roth on vocals again!

I think they should reunite for a tour, and when David Lee Roth can't go on, they send Rob Halford out there to replace him! Wink

I think Rob would rather play in priest because half of Van Halen is complete cheeze.
