Any King Diamond fans in this forum??? I hope there are some, cause I need advice.

I own Abigail, which I believe is a metal masterpiece....if you don't own it shame on you!!! Laughing , Them and Voodoo (which were good also, but not on par with Abigail)

What KD record do you think I should get next???? I'm going to Miami a few weeks from now, so I want to make a big list of cds I need to purchase and I can't find here in Guatemala.

Suggestions please Cool

I wrote a story based loosely on Voodoo...called Nevermore (though it was with elves Very Happy) A friend of mine loves King Diamond and thinks he's better than Dio...he's good, but he's no Dio!

Personally , when I want to listen to King Diamond (by the way, that's partly where the king comes from in my name) I usually throw in Mercyful Fate. Usually Melissa, Time, Don't Break the Oath or In the Shadows.

"The Eye" is really good also if you don't mind a drum machine instead of real drums.

Machines...Computer God...Madness!

I don't really care for the sound of the machines either. The don't seem to have any life. But the guitar work is friggin' amazing. And of course the always great KD vocals.

Yeah with the Make-up and all. I believe Gene Simmons even sued him over his original Make-up and he had to change it. And Alice will always be the one who started the make-up thing in my mind. No one has ever done it better either.

Evil or Very Mad Crazy! And Alice used a drm machine on Dada - and it's one of the best albums he ever made! Other drum machines of note include (Arthur Brown's)Kingdom Come on Journey

I also like King Diamond - but I only have Abigail so far. I'm thinking about getting some Mercyful fate - I hear it's quite different sounding..?

The Graveyard and House of God. The ending for HoG is a little long but I won't say why and give it away. I have them all but I like these two. There is a sequal to Abigail.

If you don't have it, try to get the Black Rose CD. It is pre Fate and King is already wearing the makeup. It has covers but I thought it was interesting. One of the tracks and I don't recall which sounded like I believe Curse of the Pharaoh. Lyrics are completely different but hey I was smoking life at the time and it may be a little fuzzy.

I personally think Mercyful Fate is better than KD's solo stuff. At least when they had the original guitar players. I think MF is just another KD solo project for the most part now. It at least rocks through "Time"
