I am an old Geezer |
I voted in the poll, but don't really think I *need* to actually state how long, do I?
Let's just say, I remember listening to the VERY FIRST album by the band who invented Metal, and I was 10 years old, at the time.... |

When I was 4 years old my father told me it was time I started listening to real metal, and gave me De Mysteriis Dom Sathanas.
Strange thing is... I liked it.
I've been listening to metal since I was born, but I don't think it counts, since I didn't really pay any attention to it nor had developed any preferences to the genre.
12 years it is, then. _________________ I en svart kiste. Mother North. |

Metal Student here too. First CD's as far as I remember were:
Rob Zombie - Hellbilly Deluxe (Dragula was the first metal tune I actually listened to)
Rob Zombie - Sinister urge
Ozzy Osbourne - Down To Earth
Ozzy Osbourne - Live And Loud
Alice Cooper - Hey Stoopid
and then I think it was Iron Maiden - No Prayer For The Dying
heh - Coop actually used to listen to metal at one point, before turning strange! Although the first 'rock' CD I bought was a best of Blondie CD... _________________ Along Came A Spider..... |

Don't want to hijack the thread, so I'll make this short.
Holy, my first LP was KISS Destroyer. My older brother sold it to me for $1. As I recall, shortly thereafter I was in need of money so I sold it back to him for $1. What a sad lot we were! _________________ Sit on it, Potsie. |

Man...my parents tried pushing stupid modern day garbage on me...and still do...telling me to cut my hair, loosen my pants a little, and listen to " more modern" music...what do they know...

Wha wha what! There was a time before metal? I thought it was created all in the first week?
"Let there be light", and there was light
"Let there be sound", and there was sound
"Let there be drums", and there was drums
"Let there be guitar", and there was guitar
"Let there be rock"
And it was good. So may it be. _________________ Smacks & Manly Thumps,
