...Fantastic!... ...this site is really coming together!... ...Ronnie made an interesting comment in the link you labeled "an old concert"...that Ritchie was probably not interested in Labeling the Band as "Blackmore's Rainbow" forever...as "everyone contributes"...to bad Ritchie could not ever actually respect that acknowledgement...because Rainbow with Ronnie James Dio was the best accomplishment of his whole career!

the thing with bootlegs is I don't beleive in them...there's just something about stealing from your favorite artists I don't like...I out myself in Ronnie's shoes, I doubt he'd want me illegally stealing his music, instead of giving him the respect he so deserves by buying is wonderful LEGAL albums!!! Just a thought.

Are you kidding me?
Everything that is posted on this page is about bootlegs.
Something that was not released or intended to be releasesed or was not released in that format is a bootleg. There are many many web pages that offer shows for download....for free. I would think that artists today understand growing thier fan base. I met Dio on the MOTM tour and he signed a couple of my bootleg CD's. One being boston 92 and he even made a coment about that he liked that show. Selling is one thing free is another. Reason you are a fan if it WERE out you would buy it. Example I would love the Houston Rainbow 76 Soundboard show.....if I got a bootleg of it great! 2 weeks later if it came out like the KOLN show I would buy it. One a side note I just got the import of the KOLN 76 Rainbow show (2 CD set and it is amazing!). _________________ Spread your music not your wallet.

Yeah on the 77' Dvd...I am sure Bob said that...after the first cd....Ronnie and everyone told Ritchie...that the band should just be callled Rainbow. |

| hey all. I was wondering if any of you guys could help me out with an album that rainbow supposedly released. My dad has 'all' of the rainbow albums on vinyl, bar one, according to one of his mates, but having looked online at many a discography, I have not been able to find it. This album is a live one that was recorded at donnington when they played the first monsters in 1980, I am led to beleive, and I think it was supposed to be called something along the lines of 'rocking the castle'. So if anyone has any idea of whether this was released or not, it would be appreciated. cheers |

There was a compilation album, titled simply "Monsters Of Rock '80" on which Rainbow had 2 songs, "All Night Long" on side 1 and "Stargazer" on side 2.
All the bands that day contributed one track, except Judas Priest.
I've not seen it anywhere on cd tho.
