Here it is, #6 in my series of "VS" polls. This time it's Elf's second album, and arguably best (only good one?  ) vs. Rainbows first album, arguably worst amoung the 3 Rainbow albums?
Ill start off with Ritchie Blackmores Rainbow... all I gotta say is MAN ON THE SILVER MOUNTAIN!!!  One of the greatest Rainbow songs, and one of Ronnies best overall. The rest of the album, other then Catch the Rainbow, Temple of the King, is preety much forgetable in my opinion.
Elf- Carolina County Ball--- rugged honky tonk blues (as Ronnie himself said). with amazing vocals. Thats all I can really say about that one.
My vote goes to Rainbow. Go and Vote!! This one's gonna last 5 days, and I will start a new one in 4 days (ps: #5 is still open, go vote if you havent!)

I like "Carolina County Ball" but I prefer "Ritchie Blackmore's Rainbow". so my vote is for "RB's Rainbow"!

| I voted for the Rainbow album for four reasons: Man On The Silver Moutain, Catch The Rainbow, Temple Of The King and Sixteenth Century Greensleeves. Four of Ronnie's best songs. Not a big fan of Ronnie's Elf stuff, except for the song Never More, which is amazing. |

I have Dio the Elf Years and I love it. Just to hear him sing like that is so cool. But then again, I am a huge Janis Joplin fan. Elf is very much like JJ. I'm don't want to vote until I can find the song Ever More. It's not on this CD and I can't seem to find Carolina County Ball alone as a CD, just in the Elf Years. My CD is in the car, so I can't look, but is CCB a song or an album? Where can I find a copy of Ever More? It's not on Napster or itunes. I am so in love with the song "Happy" that I get goosebumps when I hear it.
Someone in the know, let me know where to hear Never More....then I'll vote.

It was so hard for me to choose...
Because I really like Elf, but Rainbow is something else...
Black Sheep of the Family, (and Man on the Silver Mountain) are highlights of the first Rainbow album (and also has the Yard Birds-later to become Renaissance-Still I'm Sad)

Okay, so I got CCB with my Dio the Elf Years...
I just ordered 'Elf' on Amazon.com.
Now I got it...I'm no longer confused...at least about this anyway
